Does anyone know of a Tas family from Rochester, NY. They originally came from Groede, Holland. The names I have are Cornelia, Peter, Constant, Henry, Julia Stephanie.

I have in my Tas-tree the marriage between Jacobus Bernardus Tas and Barbara Terny.
I have 6 children. Your grandmother Mary Magdaline Tas is to unknown to me. I have Magdalena Maria Tas, born at Adegem - Belgium on 31-01-1892.
Do you know the names of all the 14th children?

Camille, born Maldegem (B), 27-10-1874
Eugenia, born Maldegem (B), 14-06-1876
Clementine Marie, born Maldegem (B), 21-10-1880
Hermana Ludovica Maria, born Maldegem (B), 07-03-1885
Isidoor, born Maldegem (B), 03-07-1886 and
Magdalena Maria, see above.

Jacobus Bernardus Tas is a son of Benjamin Joannes Tas and Serafina Apollonia de Kaestekker. Benjamin Joannes is the son of Joannes Franciscus Tas and Cornelia Vandenbussche. Joannes Franciscus Tas is the son of Augustinus Tas(se) and Marie Anne du Fossé. Augustinus Tasse is the eldest ancestor in my tree.
I am a descendent of Anthony Tas, the brother of Joannes Franciscus Tas.

Hello Theo,
My grandmother, Mary Magdaline TAS, emigrated
from Sluis to Irondequoit, NY in 1913, one year
after my grandfather, Louis VerCruysse. She
was one of 14 children born to Jacobus Bernardus
Tas and Barbara Terny. I do not know anything
of her siblings, but have traced the family
back several generations in Oost Vlaanderen.
Perhaps our families are related?

Hello Linda,
We know that a Tas family emigrated in 1914 from Groede to Rochester. The family had the following persons:
Johannis Baptiste Filius Anthonie Tas, his wife Cornelia Pieternella Riteco, his daughter Juliana Maria and his sons Petrus Franciscus, Hendrikus Franciscus and Constantinus Franciscus.
The sister from J.B.F.A. Tas, Stephania, emigrated in 1899 to North-America
So here are all the names you have.
