Hi Cuz...long time no hear. Just wondered if you have traced back any further than John Temple and Mary Charles and who their decendants were. Still plugging away here. I have all names of children in my dad's family (Leon, son of Hazel and Owen E. Sheets) There were nine children..all but two now deceased.

Sorry to be so late in replying. I recently moved and just finding some time to get back into searching. You may have already received this info by now....but Mary Emma Jones Thomas Babb died 31 July 1952 in Memphis, Shelby, TN and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis. If I can be of further help, just let me know.

Try contacting Dr. Park Temple who runs the Temple genealogy site. He is the one who most likely knows anything. She is probably a long lost relative of mine, but I do not have a clue how nor do I know when it would have been.

Sorry for a delay in the response to your message. I think you are correct that we may be related...... I am the great (5X)-granddaughter of Stephen Temple and his 2nd wife, Rhoda Galloway Eseling. If my family records are correct you are their great (6X)-grandson. I believe that my great (4X)-grandfather, Isaac Miller Temple and your great (5X)-grandfather, John Lewis Temple were brothers. Are my family records correct? I have also looked at that site and was amazed how large the Temple family is. It is a great source of info and I did find some family members there I was not aware of.

My great grandfathers name was Warner Temple(he was a lawyer) he had sons named Leofric and Robert and Phillip he was born, we believe, in England around the mid 1800's. There is a story in my family, about how either his or perhaps his fathers surname name was originally Wright and his mother's maiden name was Temple and his mother's father paid his father to name him Temple so the Temple name would continue. Is there a story like this one in your family? I know of a 2nd story about his brother attempting to swim the English Channel. Thank you, Vernon Temple

This is an older post so I am not sure I will get a response. My ancestor is Eleanor Temple, 1730-1800. I do not know where she was born but she died in Clark County, Indiana. She married Charles Dailey about 1760. I looked the website given in a previous post but could not find an Eleanor born around 1730. Has anyone heard of her?
