TOBIAS FAMILY

the TOBIAS name has its roots, or origin in the Hebraic language group. It is NOT a Jewish name!!!!!!! Actually there is no such thing as a "JEWISH NAME"! That would be like saying an American name?????

Yes, the Tobias family which I research was in Donaldson, Schuylkill County, PA prior to 1900.

The Tobias name is from many different country`s of the world mine is yidish the actual spelling of the Tobias name is as follows Tobiah any questions check with the new enclapida it means a friend of god have a nice day.

I am a Van Dyke doing research on the family and my great-grandmother Blanche Tobias Van Dyke is buried in The Village of Castleton across the river from Albany, NY. Her father, mother and siblings are there. Where are your Tobiases from?
