Hi, My name is Mary Ellen Toledo Garcia, my father's family came from Arizona. My father was the son of Adolpho & Luz Toledo. His parents were Manuel Toledo and Andrea Granio (Granillo). My grandparents than came to California, not sure what happened to either of my great-grandparents.

Hi, Dores. Your message is dated July 2006, almost 6 years ago. My grandmother was Josefa Stevenson,the younger sister of Rebeca and Leonidas by a second marriage. As far as I know, Rebeca had two girls, Doris, a nurse, and Norma, and two boys, Habert and ??. Her twin brother Leonidas had about nine children with Aunt ¿Melota?: Lois, Olga, Daphne, Queenie, etc. Many of Rebeca and Leonidas' grandchildren and great-grandchildren still live in San Andres, Colombia and should be able to provide further and more reliable information about your family tree. Leonidas Toledo, the twins' father and consequently your great-grandfather, was appointed prefect of the archipelago of San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina in 1882 and was shot and killed on the doorstep of his home on November 9, 1883. Francisco Toledo y Delgado is my great great grandfather. I have been searching everywhere for information. His daughter with matilde garcia esteves was lucia toledo garcia de herrera. She was killed on feb.2 1920 in puerto rico. I would love to be able to learn more about my family prior to 1888 as well. I have found a passport application for Francisco's son Jose Toledo Garcia from 1921 going from madrid, spain back to puerto rico with a wife candida.

My name is Annette Toledo I have been only been able to trace my roots back to the 1800"s I am the grandaughter of Teleforo Toledo and know of his brother Juan Toledo from Arecibo, Utado, Angels Puerto Rico take note just because you may see your family living in an area on the census does not mean they lived there people travel to were the work was and that was seasonal and many time the family were broken up and the wrong names appear on the census. Accourding to what I was told the Toledo family came from spain I would like to go fruther back. My greatest resores are ninety two and eighty six god bless them they have told me thing you would never find in a book. I remember anna and carmen very well i some times stay with anna when we were living in new york. Are you cheos daughter? I remenber them all. I was raised by one of cheos brothers. If the Jorge Toledo Pagan you are looking for lived in el barrio cajones, he had 2 wives 1st wife Ramona, 2nd wife rosa.

One of his son's nick name was Cheo. Other names for Cheo Ray or Ramiro. Left PR in 1964 @14 by himself (he ran away to NYC)

No this Jorge Toledo Pagan is not alive he died a week before Princess Diane in 1997, he was my grandfather and his son Cheo is my father.

Jorge 2nd wife Rosa just died 4 days before Chrismas 2010.

My grandmother born in Villa Morelos in Michoacan. Married Francisco Toledo, whose Parents: Jose & Socorro Pantoja.
Records hard to find. Mi Abuela & Franco went to U.S. and had a son, Antonio (my father) in May 1930. He left and went back to Mexico alone to live.
Antonio later used Stepfather's last name Ruiz.
So, Antonio Toledo Anthony Toledo then Anthony Ruiz.
My grandmother's niece lives in Morelia today.

I came across your post when I looked up my maidian name, were in Lares is your family? We are from Cajenoes <---I spelled that wrong I think. My family just moved back 5 years ago. My dad's biologic mother is named Ramon I don't know her maidian name. My father is one of 13. His name is Ramiro Toledo, but they call him Cheo his dad was Jorge Toledo Pagan. Fransisco lived/married in or near Morelia Mx.
Came to US, Tx for a while, then KC MO. after his son was born, he went back to MX (presumed).
His son went by Antonio Toledo until graduating from H.S. then found out his stepfather had registered him (when he was 13) for ss# as Anthony J.Ruiz. So he used that name until he died. rumor has that fransisco died around 1970.

According to my only living aunt granddaughter of Manuel Toledo/Andrea Granio(Granillo). My grandfather Adolph Toledo had dual birth certificates. One from Spain and one from Arizona. He was the son of Manuel Toledo & Andrea, but spent time with his uncle Francisco after his parents divorced. His grandfather's name was Jose Toledo. Sure wish I could find more information.

hi, I'm related to the Toledos from Camuy by my ggrandmother who was the daughter of Antonio Toledo Delgado. This individual was married to Josefa de La Guardia Lopez. Many of these Toledo's descendants still live in the Camuy area. My ggreatgrandmother was Ignacia Toledo y de La Guardia. Agustin Toledo Gonzalez and Maria Nicolasa Delgado Fuentes are my ggggrandparents. I think we are related. Very fascinating!

My grandfather kept his past close to his chest and didn't share a lot of information about his past. I do have the following information.

Leopoldo Toledo Y Allauca
Born: 23 Jul 1906 in Guayaquil, Ecuador
Died: 1984 in NYC, USA.
Mother: Hortencia Allauca
Father: Leoplodo Toledo

His father may have owned or "ran" a grocery store. My Grandfather left for the USA when he was a teen.

I have absolutely know idea on how to obtain records in Ecuador. Should I try the Church? Or is there a state agency in Ecuador that I can contact? Any tips would be welcomed.

ALSO: I wish ancestry.com was set up to handle compound last names. I have a lot of Spanish and Italian family with giant last names.... John Doe y Doe de Doe, etc...

I have been looking for my grandfather's family (Toledo) who came from Mexico. Fransisco married Gregoria Maria Rosales of Michoacan, MX. His father was Jose Toledo whose
spouse/partner was Sororro (Socorro) Pantoha (Pantoja).
