Lisa, I have no proof that I am related to you. There is a posting attached to this letter that was written by Lisa.
She keeps insisting I need to send her my genealogy work.
Folks all this person has done is make a mess of my family's history. Insult me. You again have tried to claim I am to blame for your inability to conduct your own family search and document it. You tired to shame me into giving you my work. I will tell you what. This offer expires in 24hrs. For $5000.00 and a gag order you to can have a copy of my work. I will be happy to let you pay for the attoney to draw up the paper work. I do not have to give you a thing. I do not care what your family does with you or for you. It is up to you all how you deal with her. Myself never again.

William P Tomlin
lisa64648 (View posts) Posted: 8 Mar 2007 6:20AM GMT

Classification: Query
Surnames: TOMLIN
Hello Again,
I am sorry I stepped on peoples toes, just trying to find out my family heritage. No harm was meant and God knows we all make mistakes. Why on earth do you not want to share the facts you learn Julia? Someone was kind enough to e-mail you with information about our family. Instead of sharing the information you dangle it like a carrot over my head.
I am sure grandpa Will would be very proud today.
The other lines of my family tree are very helpful I just dont understand.

Tomlins from Tennessee

I am searching for my grandfather's parents. He was born in Macon, Tenn - his name was Lue Allen Tomlin. He was born 1911 and he had an older brother, Elbert Henry. Someone has told me that the records burned and no one in my family has been able to find anything on his parents. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a Granddaughter of George & Sarah Margaret Tomlin.... does anyone know where this group of Tomlin's originated from... Ireland, England, Germany??? I've have not been able to find out this info, but am VERY curious to know... I've been told there was Native American, but I have not found that at all, so I think that part is not there. I have also heard there was Welsh blood....

Christian Tomlin-B: arriving from Germany D: Grant Co, Ky

I am seeking information on the parents of Christian Tomlin who was born on the Atlantic Ocean arriving from Germany in 1780 and died in Grant County, Ky in 1851. There seems to be conflicting information out there. I show his father as John Michael Tomlin, however, I have also seen Jacob Michael Tomlin (born in Germany). His mother's name, I believe, was Elizabeth. I have seen it listed as Elizabeth Bailey, however, I am not sure that this is correct. Any information on this Tomlin line would be appreciated.
I don't think the album belongs to me, BUT, I can tell you that my uncle was in the navy in the 40's also. His wife only ever called him "Tom." His name was John Tomlin. Maybe that is why the Tom is also Bill. We only ever called my uncle, "Jay."

I have found a marriage record of Henry Hawks and Mary Tomlin 1744. I have children for them:
Elizabeth, Henry and Henry. Do you have any info on Henry's second wife Frances?

I am trying to find the parents of John Hawks married to Mary Large.

Thanks.

Thank you so much for the reply. Any help would be wonderful. I have found very little. My husband's grandmother was Ollie Sephronia Tomlin. David was his 3x gr grandfather. Do you have any info on the next few generations past David? Do you know the correct spelling for David's wife and also the names of his other wife(s). How can I contact you outside of this message board?
Thank you
Brenda

I believe that I am descended from Louisa, daughter of David S. Tomlin, and Jesse Bearden. I believe that both Jesse and Louisa Tomlin Bearden died between 1860 and 1870 in Mississippi (Attala or Leake County) and that their son, James Bearden (my g-g-grandfather) was raised by Louisa's sister, Arminda and her husband, James V Barnes. They seem to have often lived close to the brother of Louisa and Arminda, Jackson Coleman Tomlin in Arkansas and then in Louisiana. I would be happy to share what I have found on the children of David S Tomlin.

My great-great grandfather's name was Lucian Lyle Tomlin Sr. He had 10 children. His wife's name was Pearl, but I am unable to obtain any information about Pearl being that they have 10 children, I was hoping that someone had some information.

Searching for family of David S. Tomlin

I am searching for records on the family of David S.(Samuel?) Tomlin believed to have been born about 1788 in Edgefield, South Carolina. Last record we have is an 1850 census record from Fayette, Fayette, Alabama. I believe he may have been married at least twice. Only record we have is of a Cicely or Celey,Seley Believed to be Jordan married in about 1830. I can find no early records before 1830. All info is based on other family trees but no documentation on early life or his parents. Some trees are using James Tomlinson and Margaret Bridges as his parents, but I can find no records to verify this. Name may also be spelled Tumlin, Tomblin, Tomlinson. Children of David believed to be George W. Tomlin b. 1819- and first wife, James S Tomlin b 1830, Isaac Paul Tomlin (Our Ancestor)1832-1915 Sarah E. Tomlin b 1836-, Arminda Tomlin b 1838-, Lucia or Louisa b 1838-, Robert H Tomlin 1842-, Margaret M. 1842- and James Coleman Tomlin1848- There is no record of any of David's family buried in Fayette, Alabama that I have found so far. I have census records for 1830, 1840, 1850 and one Land record. Any help would be appreciated including info on the children of David.
