I found Delfino's family in the 1910 census of Precinct 5 Central Pagosa, Colorado with his parents. The transcription is "Toney", but it is Torres....

Francisca, when I came across your post. I thought Geronimo Sr. was born on 09-30-1897. But maybe it was Geronimo Jr. that was born on 09-30 of 1928. Who are your parents? Do you know Mary Jean Torres? She still lives in San Antonio, I think. Francisca is my great-grandmother. So that would make your grandfather my great-uncle? once upon a time (1961) I went to visit my cousins in oklohoma my uncle esteban and aunt elisa had taken the family there, cousins were pantalion, jose (shito) there were two sisters I think maybe more brothers.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 41 wonderful years, Harold Moya, Sr. of the family home; her loving children, Debbie Chavez, Harold Moya, Jr., Geraldine Garcia, Kathryn Lopez, Valorie Matthews; and 14 precious grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Rubio and Nancy Saiz; two brothers, Felix Jr. and Charles Torrez, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Margaret will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. On behalf of the Moya family, sincere gratitude is expressed to all those whom prayed for Margaret during her illness. My grandfather was Geronimo Torres, Sr. He originated from Monterrey, Mexico. He was married to my grandmother, Catalina Picaso Ruiz who had twin daughters by him. My mother, Sara Torres Barrera who at the time was Sara Picaso Torres and her twin sister, Ester Torres. My grandfather died on April 1, 1974 and is buried at the San Fernando Cemetary #1 in San Antonio, Texas. My mother and her only half brother, Geronimo Torres, Jr. are the only survivors. I dont know of any relatives in Ohio.

This is probably a long shot, but I have recently found my grandfathers death cert. It shows that he ( Ladislao Torrez ) was born 1905 in Gomez Palacio, Dur, Mex. and his father ( Sirildo Torrez ) also in Durango, Mex. I have been told that there were numerous siblings: Ramon, Lee, Nellie, Juan, Rosa, Cecilio, Ramona all of which can not be verified. They migrated up to Oklahoma, New Mexico then onto Arizona. Some may have gone to Iowa and South Dakota? This is all that I have at this time, might help...good luck.

I do not know of any children in Ohio as of yet. From what I know of my grandfather, born in 1928, he left my grandmother for another woman. If they had any children, I do not know, nor do I know her name. He left when my youngest uncle was 6 months old, so it is possible that he could have fathered more children. His father (my great-grandfather) was also named Geronimo and all that I know of him is that he was born in or around Monterrey, Mexico.
How is Pedro related to you? Do you know of any time he may have spent in Texas? I believe that my grandfather spent most of his life in Texas. Would you mind sharing the names of your family? I am currently looking for my grandfather. His name is Geronimo C. Torres, Jr. (his father's name is Geronimo Torrez and mother Luz Avila de Torres). My grandfather was born on Sept. 30, 1928 (now age 73). He married my grandmother, Petra Robles(z) and had 5 children between 1946 and 1954: Jean, Richard, Luz, Beatriz and Fred. All born and lived in San Antonio,TX. He left his family when my dad was very young. It is rumored that he had other children with the woman he left my grandmother for, possibly also in their 40's and 50's now. Geronimo Torrez, Sr. was born around 1897 and died April 1974; buried at San Fernando Cathedral, San Antonio.

My father is named amado and is in his mid sixties, he has a brother named Geronimo Torres who is eighty years old and lives in rock springs, wy. the haven't. he moved there when my dad was ten and they haven't seen each other since. he doesn't have much information about his family. he was told that his father would ride with the apaches. they were from the san angelo, euola, menard, ft. mckerny area. we have a lot of relative in those area. anyone have anymore info i could use.

My abuelita is Guadalupe Maria Torrez...her siblings are: Esequiel, Roberto, Jesus, Ricardo, Juan, Ramon or Raimundo, Carlos, Andres, Silvestre and Martin. Parents were Javier Torrez (died in El Paso in 1972-half-brothers Pedro and Santiago Gallardo, father-Francisco, mother-unknown) and Antonia Marin (1900-1967/8/9 El Paso)...family was born, lived or lives in: Jalisco, San Alto Zacatecas, Gomez Palacio Durango, Juarez, El Paso, Alton IL. Hello, I have been trying to locate any relatives that may have been born in the Geary, Omega, Okarche areas of Ok. Perhaps even residing in the Souix City, Iowa area. I know that my grandfather was married in Blaine county, Geary Ok. in 1932 to a Sally Sedillo. With relatives in Okarche. Most likely immigrated from Mexico in the early 1900's. I have done a lot of traveling a research. I accidently found a Geronimo Torres bury in San Angelo, Tx. He had a son name Geronimo, You may want to check this out. Because it could be a direct decendent of the Geronimo in San Angelo. Who by the way happens to be the famous Apache Geronimo and his surname was Torres(z). He was a prisoner there at Fort Concho in San Angelo. Tx.
