So I wonder if you are keeping the Palmer line a secret ?..as I have a big gap between 1900 when Lilian Palmer was Born and Ivy in 1912...as none of the Traveller extended fdamily still in West Ham / E£ssex know of any Palmer relatives maybe you can fill in the gaps of their history. No suprise as my gf was a younger Traveller and the West Ham lot did not know him either or his 2 younger brothers, 2 moved south of thye Thames and the other died young.
There is also a sister Married Webb and nobody remembers them either.

Elizabeth Traveller had 8 surviving siblings.Her younger brother William Traveller Born 1880 was my grandfather, never met, as he died when I was 3 ( if I did, I was to young to remember ). However, a few years back I was making a ' delivery' ...to William Travellers old house, so I can say I have been in his home !.
Palmer being such a common Surname I have no information of the family and would be interested in any news you can help with.
Elizabths younger sister Rebecca Married a William Webb, I know of 2 children Harlod Henry Webb 1911 and Wiliam Charles Webb B 1897..and probably these two

Elizabeth Traveller was the daughter of Charles Traveller and Caroline Hollier. She Married Alexander James Palmer 28 June 1894 at The Parish Church of Forest Gate, West Ham, London, Essex, England.
There are 4 known children on the 1901 Census, Emily, Caroline, Rebecca and Lillian.

I have Alexanders parents as Henry Palmer and Emily Parcell.

My gf William Traveller B 1880 was Elzabeths younger brother.

This is year 9 of the Traveller research and happy to meet contact new and old...especially joe the artist..who might take after James Traveller of Chelmsgford who was a painter and boot man to ' Capt Spitty '.... I have lost Josephs em address due to Windows being reinstalled.

William Traveller who died in 1915 and listed Shepperd as a relative done so because his mums sister Alice Easter married William Shepperd with the mother-in-law, Sarah Easter nee Johnson living with the couple on the 1901 Census.

just droping a message, apart from the Marylebone ? Pancras Traveller s that went to Canada- then onto the uSA- members of the same line also went to Australia - and some remained in London. - I have at last 2 Marriage Certificates and one Death Certificate for children of a Robert Traveller , whose line seems to go back to Robert Charles Astridge Traveller.

I have replied to Shelley, with details that I could put together. Rose is a mystery, I have a Rose marrying a Prior - and a Rose dieing in 1948 - Surname Traveller ( widow of no name..jewelry repairer )...at her son-in-laws house - Fitzroy Knight, wife Rose Knight.
I have other details, but also need what information is available to you two, as I can check records.

Hello to any Travellers who can can give me information concerning Rose Traveller, Daughter of James and Elizabeth.
I see someone has been in contact with my neice Shelly but I do not know if she replied and supplied him with any more information.
If not or even if have communicated some more I would also like to hear from you as I believe Rose was my grandmother.
The Rose that died in 1949 is exactly the right age.

Your Rose Traveller was the daughter of James Traveller and Elizabeth Shepperd - good news is that she had 12 brothers and sisters!!!!.The only problem is that there are a couple of Rose Travellers born around the same time. I personally investigated a Rose A Traveller, that died in 1948 aged 79. it appears from the R of Electors that she lived with her daughter and her husband Rose and Fitzroy Knight.
If you can provide me with more info, on line or preferably by em, I have an extensive Traveller Tree going back to 1735 and have connected up about 70% of all Travellers in the BMD registers.

I have connected several branches of Travellers back to 1735 in St Albans , Hertfordshire and hope that those in Chelmsford are also connected. I know the earliest Traveller in this area is about 1740 but wonder if anyone has done any indepth research - to compare note s with as I have a couple of 'Jamess' to account for. The Will of John Traveller 1802 makes reference to a James Traveller of Woodford, Essex.
Any help anyone.

I have a few certificates with fathers name Robert Traveller - I believe this Robert was born St Pancras in 1847, possibly married in Holborn in 1867, ( his father was Robert Charles Astridge Traveller born about 1826. who married Susan/Susanna Searle).

I have copied all the Traveller Birth/Marriage/Death details from the Registers from 1637 - 2002. After about 1911 it is possible , by using the mothers maiden name , to trace families forward, given as much imfo as possible obviously. If I can be of help to you , then let me know via my e-mail.

I also have copies of Censuss from 1841 - 1901 for Travellers and those I could find of families the females married into.
I have a copy for James Traveller,age 47 born chelmsford, RG13/336/Folio132/Page39 - 1901 Census (7 kids). best clif

I managed to trace the marriage to Henry John Shuttle.

I believe she was the daughter of James Traveller from Chelmsford in Essex but I have not yet ordered the marriage certificate to prove this but will be doing so very soon.

Theres a Florence M Traveller married SHUTTLE - in Marriage index as quarter- june. year-1920. volume-4a. page- 247. district-west ham.

This Florence could be the Florence Maud Traveller born in Birth Index as quarter- Dec. Year- 1902. Volume- 4a. page- 161. district- West Ham. T here is also another Florence Maud Traveller born in March 1902 - District Pancras Vol 1b page 91. for any other help my e-mail clif.jade@ntlworld.com

Charles and wife died in war but had 2 daughters married with families.

I'm only remotely related to Travellers through marriage, but have information on a family line that went from England (I don't know where in England) to near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to North Dakota, USA.
Ruben Traveller born circa 1813 in England, and his brother Fortunatus Traveller, born circa 1810 in England. Have names of their descendants if anyone is interested.
