Hi there, I am back to 1700 but am expecting more info soon.

My great greatgrandparents were Joseph and Sarah, Stephen and Margaret, Joseph and Flora then my dad Ken.

My Great grandfather Stephen came to Aust from St Agnes in 1870. He was born 1852 to Joseph and Sarah Dale. James and Elizabeth and fam were also on the ship.

only been doing this for less than a year.

Hi Susan,my name is David Tredinnick.Only in the last month have I began research on my ancesters.My grandfather was William John Tredinnick (1878-1944) whose parents were

My decendents above. Their son Stephen born 1852 came to Australia on the Western Empire in 1872. He married Margaret Scott in Victoria and moved to Newcastle NSW.

We know another son Joseph came to Victoria before Stephen.

Family say other brothers went to USA. intersted in any info.

I see in the 1966 reunion papers that your Tredinnick family is from William Tredinnick family of Illogan. Gladys Tredinnick De Bello of Dover,NJ was a sister to George Russell who married Helen Thomas.I do not have any family tree info on your family. Maybe you could help me with any family tree you may have.

I too heard of the Tredinnick family changing their last name to Dinnick. It had to do with ownship of a brewery by the two Tredinnick families. I have a few Stephen's in my tree. Do you have a date of birth and death? My family came to America in 1854.

Was your father's name Harry Walter Tredinnick? I found one who married Gladys Mary Knox in Middlesex. Harry Walter Tredinnick father was Ernest Tredinnick. Is that right? Is this how the Tredinnick's got into the Knox family?

I didn't know we had any Irish in us. Please tell me more. I know my great grandmother was from Wales. I only know her first name which was Jane. She married my great grandfather Richard James Tredinnick sometime in 1875 +-

I am a Tredinnick. My great grandfather James Tredinnick came over from Cornwall, England in 1854 and settled in Ashley, PA. I am the youngest in my family of five.

Yes my great grandfather was Richard James Tredinnick, son of James and Susan Ann Gilbert Tredinnick who were the first to come to America in 1854 shortly after their marriage on Nov.6,1853 in St. Austell, Cornwall. Richard James was born in New York State on Feb.2,1854. So James and Susan had a shot gun wedding. Richard James didn't like his first name so he went by James.
Stephen, born in 1858 was the second son of James and Susan.He married Lucy Snell. One of their children was Harry, born March 16, 1884 married to Flora Strube. They had three sons, Gordon, Kenneth and Robert. I met a Robert who lived in Whiting, NJ some years ago. His father was Harry who was a printer by trade. Are you related to these Tredinnick's ?
Have you ever been to Ashley, PA? There is a cemetery named Maple Hill on the outside of Ashley were James, Susan Ann and Rebecca Tremayne(James mother) James was the oldest of their children.
No I idn't attend the reunion in Wilkes-Barre in 1966. My two brothers and my father Russell did attend. I couldn't attend because I was drafted in the U.S. Army on Jan.18,1966.

Hi Dennis,
My wife (Elaine) was fooling around on the internet the other day and came accross your inquiry of 2007 looking for people of Cornish ancestry. As it happens, James Tredinnick and Susan Gilbert were also my great-great-grandparents. I am descended from their son Stephen; we looked you up in our book and find that you are probably descended from Richard. Thus, we are fourth cousins.
Most of our information comes from the documentation we got from the 1966 and 1968 meetings in Wilkes-Barre. Were you at either of these?
Obviously you have done a lot more digging in old records than we have. We do have some info from copies of records from various sources but we can't correlate much of this with our family directly. We would be interested in what you have found out(and share our information). We are going to Cornwall some time soon, we hope, to look at places we know our ancetors were from and to look at records and see how much we can piece together.
We lived in NJ until 1978 when we moved to Illinois. I still have one first cousin in Morris County. Everyone else has moved elsewhee except one cousin's children who still live in Morris County. Our daughter lives in South Jersey near her work.

I am working on my family tree again and came across the posts here.

I have a hand written family tree for Tredennick/ Tredinnick that goes back to my great great great Grandfather Thomas Tredinnick who lived in Ashwater Devonshire England and was married to Susan James often referred to as Aunt Suey.
My Great Great Grandfatehr was William Tredinnick and was married to Mary Ann Pengelly and lived in Curryton England.

I am from the Northeast Tredinnick Family. My name is Dennis Lee Tredinnick and my great great grandfather James Tredinnick, married to a Susan Ann Gilbert married in 1853 in Austell, Cornwall and sailed for America and arrived in New York in Jan. 1854. My great grandfather Richard James was the first Tredinnick born on Feb. 2,1854 in New York from this family. The family came from St. Agnes, Cornwall and moved to St. Austell in and around 1853.

I am a Tredinnick from the Northeast part of Pennsylvania. I have heard of two Tredinnick family that owned a brewery in Cornwall. One of the families were very religious and changed their last name to Dinnick by dropping the Tre.

Lou Tredinick, from Morris (Grundy Co.) IL area about 1890

I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Lou Tredinnick”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Morris (Grundy Co.) IL in about 1890-95, and she looks to be about age 20.

I found lots of Tredinick families in the 1900 and 1910 Grundy Co. censuses, but cannot locate a lady named “Lou”, unless that was a nickname for Laura or Ann, Nora or Flora.

I am searching for information on Walter Knox born 12 April 1870--his father was John Knox born in 1830. The family came from Ireland and lived in Washington, Pa. in 1870. JOHN'S wife was Susanna 1834 1880.

My Grandmothers maiden name was Tredinnick and my mother changed her name to Tredinnick so did my newphew, Casey.
