Dear June, Just read your message re Anne Trimnell. You read the name from a plaque in Cambridgeshire.
I am a direct decsendant of Charles TRIMNELL, rector of Abbotts Ripton for 40 years. Charles was born in Bremhill, Wiltshire in 1630. Died 1702. Charles was married to Mary Killingworth, Cambridgeshire. Anne was their 2nd daughter who grew to adulthood and married Alured Clarke of Godmanchester. They had 2 children, Alured and Charles who also lived into adulthood. I have no date of death for Anne
TRIMNELL (if it is Charles & Mary's daughter)? Nor burial details. Did the Plaque have such a date do you remember? The TRIMNELL Family is very large with so many Christian names carried through the generations, but not too many 'Anne's with an 'e'. Other siblings - 4 brothers and 3 other sisters who lived beyond birth or early childhood. All married and had families. I was born in 1933 in Barnet, Middlesex, England. I have done a lot of research and now have large data base of information on the Trimnell Family through the generations. Roots go way back in time and Trimnell's now live in many counties of the UK & countries of this world. i do not know the name Bessie Lorene Trimnell. Could the Bessie be short for Margaret?
If you wish to contact me, my email address is: sjforrest@xtra.co.nz
Regards from Sheila Rose Forrest, nee TRIMNELL.
To Julie Mayger - I am a direct descendant of Trimnells buried in the St Swithin's Church of England Parish church in BICKER, Lincolnshire, England. I have completed research into the family back to the 17th Century. Also Trimnell family members from - Abbot's Ripton, Huntingdonshire and Bremhill, Wiltshire. Trimnells also lived in Worcestshire in the 15th & 16th Century. My family lived in London during the 1800's to 1950.I am willing to share any research I have with interested fellow 'searchers'.
I may be contacted by email: - sjforrest@xtra.co.nz

Hello,

I would be interested in getting some information about my Great Granmother. Her name was Ellen Trimnell,(daughter of James Trimnell and Emily Duff) she got married with Andrew William James Bowyer. They were living in Bristol (UK). From what I've been told, they had 2 children, William and Eric Bowyer. William Bowyer was my Granfather and he was living in Canary Islands after the First Wolrd War.

Anyway, I would really appreciate some information. I live in Spain and my English relatives died many years ago.
Thank you.

Dear Mr John Lawrence,

I was most surprised to find an answer to my query regarding members of the TRIMNELL family. More surprised still that - you live in Auckland, New Zealand.

I live in the Bay of Plenty,NZ. My pre-married surname is TRIMNELL. I have data on my own family ancestors from the 1600's onwards. Worcestershire/Wiltshire/Huntingdonshire/Lincolnshire/Middlesex-London/Ceylon (Srilanka)New Zealand. Plus Bristol/Australia/Canada.

However - none of the names you have given other than Anne T, Wiltshire, tie in with names & dates I have. A Branch Trimnell Family, emigrated to Kent, but I have no data.

Wiltshire seems to have been a highly popular Trimnell county in the 16th & 17th Century.

I shall look forward to hearing from you. I correspond with a 'coz' in Sussex. She is a great source of T. info.

Kind regards, Sheila Forrest, nee Trimnell

Members of the Family lived in Wiltshire, England, then moved to Abbots Riply,Huntingdonshire, England, 17th Century. Many links with the Church of England. Members of this Family also lived in Lincolnshire. Has anyone any information to share
regarding the above mentioned Trimnell Family members please?

Elizabeth and William Trimnell migrated to Australia 1851 with spouses. They were born Ramsbury in 1820s; parents Joseph and Elizabeth (probably Holloway). Joseph may have been an innkeeper or carpenter or both. Does anyone share an interest in this family?

You mentioned Anne Trimnell. I recently came across a plaque on the wall of one of our local churches here in Cambridgeshire, England. The name Anne Trimnell was on it with other information. Don't suppose it's the one you are referring to though.

PS my maiden name is June Trimnell.
My maiden name is Trimnell and having done a bit of research, and having been told quite a bit, it would appear that we have Wiltshire connections. My grandfather, George Butler Trimnell was born in East Garston, Berkshire, and there are definite connections to East Anglia, where I now live. Likewise Canada and USA. Too much to go into here but it's fascinating stuff.

I don't know if anyone is still interested but my maiden name is Trimnell and my father did a lot of research on the Trimnell family tree, so i have lots of information including one branch of the family who went to USA with the Mormons, travelling from Wiltshire UK. My grandfathers family lived in Bristol for several generations. I have documents locating some graves in a Bristol cemetary. I can trace my line back to 1600's, before that there is nothing. Some suggestions were the family came from Ireland, changing their name on arrival in England.

Hi. I live in a small village in Cambridgeshire, England. I met up with Donald Trimnell and his wife and daughters some years ago in London. We confirmed an association with the family and he passed on some very useful information. If you can add anything to the mysteries of the Trimnell clan please reply. In the meantime Happy Christmas.

Wow, yes, my mother's name is Beth. I believe I was w/him when he made that call to you from New Jersey. I had just turned 13 when we made that visit in 1974 to Vineland. I am 41 now. From '91-99, I travelled w/my parents, w/our kids, and at times my husband got to go also, to Ocean City Resort there in New Jersey to visit my grandma (his mom) Grace Trimnell in the summers around August each year.
I know of the compilation that he sent you. I just sent a copy of it to my dad's brother Lawrence Trimnell from Wheaton, Illinois. Daddy was going to put together a book called "Under the Mushroom". My grandpa Louis Trimnell used to say that the Trimnell name was so rare that you could only find a Trimnell in the rarest of places...like hiding under a mushroom. He wanted me to do the artwork for this book. I'm going to add to it and complete it someday for him. I think he will look down on me from above and be proud. He was the best most perfect father in the world, and did not leave behind one single enemy. If he was mistreated by anyone, he would love that person in return. He was amazing. I was devastated by his sudden and shocking death, I love and miss him, but I look forward to the day when I can be w/him once more. Thank you for the contact, it's good to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Kim

Sorry to hear about your father. I must have been seven when we met. I met your father again in 1998. He and your mother (Beth I believe) came to New Jersey and he gave me a call. He mailed me a bunch of genealogy material he had compiled. I found this web site after finding the envelope and letter (dated March 4, 1998) from you dad and did some looking around. Thanks for the reply... Ron

Hello!
Yes, that is him. We traveled to England to study our family name the year that my father met you. It was 1974, and we stopped in Vineland. I was one of his daughters w/him at the time (the eldest one).
Dad's father graduated from Rutgers (my grandpa, Louis Trimnell). My father already lived in Illinois (you may had forgotten that part of it) when you met him and he lived there from around 1961 when I was born, until June 1 of 2000 when he died of surgery complications from removing a benign brain tumor. I am very fascinated w/this website, and didn't know it existed until I wrote on it last year. I kind of half way forgot about it, and then something intuitive I suppose nudged me to check it again.Interesting. I suppose I shall have to visit here often now.
Kim

Somehow I stumbled across this site. Maybe my deceased father's influence?! Anyway, he was very interested in the geneaology of our Trimnell name, studied it, and we even went to England when I was 12 to study our name. He finally got around to wanting to publish the records of what he found to my sister to organize and publish. He died suddenly afterwards, (June of 2000) and my sister still has the info. Anyway, I can put her in touch with you about it if need be, and I am very interested in knowing all info that you have in regards to the history of our unique name. My father's name was Donald, born 5/28/31 of Louis and Grace Trimnell of Plainville, New Jersey. Looking forward to hearing from you sometime hopefully.
