I meant to put in my new email address which is Larroyo1944@tampabay.rr.com and I just re-copied my old aol address instead. If anyone wants to contact me, please do so at the tampabay.rr.com address. Thanks, Lynn

Warsaw>WI Benjamin Troy

Any connections contact Del_Hamm@msn.com
BENJAMIN TROY (maybe son of JOSEPH and Fannie, Joseph maybe son of DELVEL and Rachael Leah) was born July 10, 1897 in Warsaw, Poland, and died May 1980. He married CELIA GROSS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of BEN GROSS and LEAH HERMAN. She was born April 01, 1902 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, and died January 14, 1988 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States.

Oral history is that Benjamin came to the US with a brother named Lewis but lost him at Ellis Island. His family may have been killed in front of him and he would not discuss or say anything about it. He probably changed his name when he came here. Troyansky is the most likely name I've found so far.

Troyansky family

The village my grandfather, Louis (Lev) Troyan (originally Troyansky), was from, was right outside Talnoye. His village was Romanovka (Romanivka), and Talnoye was the nearby market town. One of his older brothers, I believe Morris, had a store in Talnoye before the First World War. Grandpa's father was Mordechai. He was killed in 1919.

Finding relatives of Nathan Troyansky

My grandfather, Nathan Troyansky came to the US in 1903-1909. He arrived on the SS Carpathia. His family lived in Tal'noje in Ukraine. He was married to Ida Urik (sp)and had 5 children, one of whom was my father. I know that grandpa and his brother Joe and sister Sarah were from a second marriage and their mother's name was Ruchel, or Rachel. If anyone has any knowledge of these people, or knows a way I can search further for them, please do not hesitate to write to me via e-mail. Thanks in advance for your help.
Lynn T. Arroyo
