In my tree the John Turville (born c1831 Melton Mowbray) was married to an Elizabeth and was the son of William Turville (born c1806 Sapcote) and his first wife Mary Billings.
John's widow Elizabeth (born circa 1830 Grantham Lincs) then remarried to John's first cousin William (born c1842 Lowesby). William was the son of Thomas Turville, Sawyer (born c 1816 Sapcote) and his wife Sarah Ann (born c 1816 Twyford).
So not sure how this fits with your John Turville and Mary nee Billings .... what dates and places do you have for their births and marriage?

my Grandmothers Parents were names Elmer william Parson and katherine cumberland . My Grandmothers name was Bertha Parson and told me her Dad sister Nora married a william turville. Also elmers parents were named Augusta Conrad and William f. parson. Bertha had 5 children, edward, ronald, phyllis (my mom)Jancie & Terry married to Edward Reynolds. Hi Emma, Was surprised to have a reply so quickly, since it was an old posting. Is shows people do read them. I do not know much about Frederick either. My father-in-law started a family tree on paper with names and some dates. From that l took a person started the BMD searches and the tree grew.
You are more than welcome to have a look at my tree.

Do make a posting on Genes Reunited asking for info on Frederick Turville, then l will open my tree to you'

You may have found further information since your posting. I came across your message when searching the family name Turville. My Husband is related to your search. Albert was the brother of Charles Turville who married a Marie Vincent and had a son named Claude Alec Turville, who is my husbands father. He had a brother Cyril and 2 sisters Doris and Mabel.
Albert had 6 sisters and 2 brothers, from my father-in-laws hand written family tree. Having research problems with marriages.

I have an original carte de visite photograph of “W. D. Turvill, Law Class 1874”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Madison (Dane Co.) WI, and he looks to be about age 24. The photo was from “Monroe Album, Fort Howard, WI”.

I found William Daniel Turvill listed in the “Director of Deceased American Physicians”, showing he died 15 Oct 1916 Madison, WI. His birth was approximately Dec 1852, per Madison (Dane Co.) 1900 census, at which time he was single and lived with his brother, Thomas and sister, Elizabeth Wood. In 1905 WI state census, he lived with his brother Thomas Turvill, in Madison, WI; he was single and age 55 in 1905, and his brother, Thomas, was age 59.

Infamous, no. It's just that you had to compete with a big truck. And in the mind of a kid, there was no comparison. Yes, I'd definitely love to stay in touch. Yes, I am that infamous wife of William. The last time I saw any of your family was when your grandma died. Bill helped load up the trailer for your mom and dad to take back to their home. I'm not totaly sure either of the concetion in the US I'm asking because there is a person from Canida called Laura do you know her she is in this site and is asking about her ans starting with john then willian turville I looked back in my pages and the last william I see is long before the dates Laura has requested.

Hi Wendy - I am a descendant of the Turville ancestors that came to the US and in my case on to Canada. I am having trouble pinning down the linage of William Turville (born 1830 in England), who is my ggg grand father. I believe he came to Wisconsin with his brother, John. Their father I think is John Turville (born 1800 Leicester, England), but I am having trouble confirming all this. Where would your ancestors fit into this linage?

Hello Wendy - I'm in Melbourne. The Thomas Turville and Anne Mackness in my email had 5 children - Annie Florence Turville (b.1860 Port Melb), Fredrick Mackness Turville (b.1858 Leicestershire), John Turville, Mary Anne Turville and Florence Turville. Annie Florence married Joseph Henry Stead in Melbourne. Fredrick Mackness Turville married Elizabeth Allen More and had at least one son, Harold Arthur Turville (b & d.1891 in Port Melbourne). I don't have any particular information about John, Mary Anne or Florence. Are either of your grand parents one of these Turvilles? Cheers - Carolyn.

Hi, I'm researching Thomas Turville (b.1824, Leicester) who married Anne Mackness (b.1829,Leicester). They had five children (Fredrick Mackness b.1858, John, Annie Florence, Mary Anne and Florence) before immigrating to Victoria, Australia.

Annie Florence Turville later married Joseph Henry Stead, and they are my great, great grandparents. Any links to your family tree? Hope to hear - Carolyn.

I have a story given to me by my mother-in-law about a tree in England that was supposed to die when all the Turvilles were gone. Guess the tree didn't know about all the ones who left and came to the U.S. I have, beside John (Sarah), a Richard b.ca 1777, Leicester; a Richard, b.11 October 1741, All Saints; and a Thomas, b. ca 1719, in Leicester, m. Mary Gad, 23 May 1738, in All Saints. The first Richard was also m. in All Saints on 18 June 1796. I have no idea how or if they fit into the line, but the given names keep showing for generations. The Turville line as I know it: John and Sarah(Fardell) Turville, England; John Turville, b. 27 Dec. 1828, Cold Overton, England, m. Eliza Durbin, b. 17 September 1836. They came to Wisconsin and both died in Beaver Dam, WI. I have no siblings, so I suppose Ann could be a sister or married to a brother. All of the Turville generations since have had a William in them. Including my husband, William, born in WI in 1931. His dad was, William Samuel, and his grandfather, William Durbin. Does anyone have any info about Ann Turvill, born Harlaxton, Lincolnshire, about 1813 - she was married to Robert Cross born c.1812 in Beeston, Nottingham, England. Both worked in the Lace Making Industry.

I have a relation, Ann Turvill, born Harlaxton, Lincolnshire, about 1813 - she was married to Robert Cross born c.1812 in Beeston, Nottingham, England. Both worked in the Lace Making Industry.

My great grandmother is Lily Emma Smith Thorpe b. 25 Nov 1865. Married John Robert Turville b. 24 July 1865. Her mother is listed as Jane Caroline Cooke b. 1839 or 1845? Father is listed as Jame Smith Thorpe b. 1843 both in Nottinham England. I can't find anything else on them. Can someone help me.

My grandfather was John Frederick Turville b 18/03/1910 in Melton. Can you or anyone else help me work out who his siblings and parents were?
My guess is he must fit into the same family somewhere. He had a sister known as Peggy (probably Margaret) who is now 85.

Hi, I'm trying to find info regarding relatives of Ivy Turville. The story is that she emigrated from England to Canada after a friend answered a newspaper ad on her behalf. The ad was from a Bernard Shaw who was looking for an English wife. Ivy was the daughter of Albert Turville (Somerset, England) and sister to Dorothy, Jack and Percy. I think she had two sons with Bernard, Eddie and Bernard. My Grandmother thinks that Bernard Senior may have been a farmer.

Any help would be much appreciated
