William's father, Philip was born 28 May 1831 in Shipton under Wychwood, England. His parents were Michael Upstone and Elizabeth Blizzard. I don't think I have found a Frederick, but I really don't know too much about the family.

hi my name is john upstone born 22 09 1963 at pembury hospital kent england .my farther was john upstone and his farther was frederick upstone i dont know if there is any link with william but would be interested to find out

Hi Chris,
My cousin's mother was an Upstone. The family lived in George St .St Giles, Oxford in the 1881 census. They originaly came from Charlton which is just south east of Banbury in Northamptonshire.
You should be able to find this family on the 1901 census & 1881 census which are both online.
I have some info but would have to dig it out. Is this the family you are looking for?

this may well be linked family - they definately came from the st giles area of oxford though i had not identified a specific street,

do you know any of the names of those you have there ?

the northampton link is new to me
