My great great grandmother was Sylveria Valdivia. She had a brother and sister that she crossed over with her via train in the 1920's. I don't have the names off hand but I can look later and reply. Thier mother's name was Paula and at that point I am stuck. I do know what district they game from but I do know per family lore, they did own a Gin Distillary in Guanajuato.

Hi, I saw your post about the Valdivia family in Guanajuato. I don't have any information for you but I was wondering if you could give me some information. My last name is Valdivia and my parents come from Guanajuato, near Romita. The oldest Valdivia relative I know of is my great grandfather Celso Valdivia. I was curious to find out if there is any relation to your family tree?

I got a diff. history on "Valdivia" name. There are a lot of diff. ones on-line. I don't know which is the real one. Guess I'll have to go to Spain to find out.

I though I would see if anyone has any info on the Valdivia's in Leon. Ive gotten very far, but....unfortunately I'm at a stopping point. I've traced my ancestors to Lucas Valdivia & Tranquilina Gomez in 1845 when they gave birth to my great great great great grandmother Pabla Valdivia (who had a sister Maria Matilde) and married Calistro Perez. They had MANY children thier final one being Silveria Perez who immigrated with Regina and Maximiliano (siblings) and Pabla thier mother to Bisbee, AZ. Family lore states the Valdivia family or the Perez family were in the Gin business in Leon. Any information would be awesome....

La unica information que tengo sobre los Velasques is que mi Visa abuela y tatara abuela eran de Calvillo, Ags. Mi Visa abuela se caso con Felix DeAnda de Calvillo y tubieron various hijos. Mi abuelo Pedro y una de sus hermanas era Amanda. No tendo informaticion de los demas.

I was born Alva Iris Valdivia in Indiana in 1971. My father's name is Alvano Valdivia. I am trying to find my lineage since the last contact I remember having with him was in the late-1970's. I had an uncle named Jose Valdivia whom I called Chepe too. They were both painters of bridges in the 1970's. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am looking for information on Alvano or Jose (Chepe) Valdivia. Alvano was my father, whom I last had contact with in the late 1970's. They were living in Illinois or Indiana. I was born in 1971 out of wedlock and I know I have several half-brothers and sisters. I am attaching pictures taken of Alvano. Please respond with any information that might be helpful.

There was a very rich man named Juan Nepomuceno G Valdivia in San Diego de Alejandria Jalisco. He was born in 1805. owned close to 50 ranches and procreated a very large family. Some of it still lives there and some other one emigrated to Leon Gto. There is a Sanatorio Valdivia en Leon from this family.

Looking for a Marcela Valdivia in the Los Angeles area. Her birth year would be around 1903. She was from a wealthy or somewhat wealthy family. She married abt. 1918 at the age of 15 to Adolfo P. Fernandez. She died about 1933 in Los Angeles. Only other known name of a relative is Rosa who would have been born about 1910. No other known info on her or her family at this time. I do have a photo of the marriage party which includes 11 other women, 2 girls and the best man along with the bride and groom. If anyone thinks they may be connected to this family I will gladly share the photo. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to find info on a Marcela (or similar spelling) Valdivia. She was married to Adolfo P. Fernandez around 1918. He was born in Mexico in 1895 and died in Santa Ana, CA in 1971. Three children born to them were John V. Fernandez, Luisa Fernandez and Mary Esther Fernandez. Marcela died in Los Angeles a few years after her last child was born which would put her death date between 1930-1940. This family worked in orchards and moved to where ever harvesting needed to be done while still remaining in and around Orange County.

DoD Identifies Navy Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Petty Officer 1st Class Jennifer A. Valdivia, 27, of Cambridge, Ill., was discovered deceased on Jan. 16, 2007, in Bahrain. Valdivia was assigned to the naval security force for Naval Support Activity, Bahrain.

Valdivia's death was a non-combat related incident in Bahrain, which is located within the designated hostile fire zone. Valdivia's death is under investigation.
