Valle from ISABELA, PUERTO RICO

Hi all! I have the Valle surname in my family tree. My great grandmother was Asuncion Mejias y Valle (born around 1877) from Isabela, Puerto Rico, and her mother, my great great grandmother, was Sebastiana Valle y Santiago (also known as Cayetana) who was also from Isabela. Does anyone have any leads or connections?

My name is Rita Gurrola. I am the Granddaughter of late Elias Valle Garcia. My grandpa was born in Jamay, Jalisco Mex on 15 July 1924 and died in Fresno, California USA. His father was Nolberto Valle Lopez b. Ibarra, Michoacan Mex and his mother was Iduvina Garcia Cheverria b. La Luz Michoacan Mex. My Great-grandparents were married in La Luz Michoacan.
Nolberto's parents were Jose Maria Valle and Diamanita Lopez both of Ibarra Michoacan.
Iduvina's parents were Bartolo Garcia and Juanita Cheverria both of La Luz Michoacan.

If any one has any info, I'd greatly appreciate it....

I'm not real familiar with the Valle side since that is my grandchildren's deceased father's side. I do know that Jr had an uncle residing in Salem, Il. Forgot his name but can check with my daughter.

Here is what I have from friend John whose Granfather was Giovanni Valley. He came from a town near Genoa,Italy.
His father Victor was born in San Francisco in 1911.

What I have: 1930 Census shows Victor, born 1912 in California as well as sister Irene in 1915. Step father Zolezzi., and mother Maria. World War 1 Reg has a Giovanni
born in 1882,Italy, nearest relative Maria. No 1910 Census
for Giovanni Valle in San Franscisco, no 1920 Census for Maria Valle,( born 1887) in San Francisco or California.
A death date of 1918 from that Valle tree. Giovanni's wife from the tree was Mary Musante, and John my friend said it was so. At Ellis Island she came from Propata which the town Brevastelli, Italy is a commune of., and she was going to San Francisco, California in 1908.
I checked Ellis Island , I had to narrow it to 1910 and under for Giovanni Valle since Victor was born in 1911. Only one had a Giovanni coming from Genoa in 1901, born 1882 to Sacramento, California. There were others from northern Italy, but not near the Genoa region, and none with a 1882 birthdate.
From 1900 to 1915 there was only one Giovanni with a 1882 birthdate from that World War 1 Reg., and a wife named Maria it appears. What do you thinK?

It appears the only information is the tree info and that village near Genoa called Chiavari.If there a definite birth date from his 1917 World World 1 Registration records it would be a good starting point. Also I would think if there were any
naturlization records for this Giovanni Valle, there would be good info. Could you check that World I info to get a proper birthdate, otherwise the dates like you say just don't tie in.

You say you have no def info but who is this chap? is he someone's grandfather or ???? I have to assume you are searching backwards from present day so, what info are you tracking back on?

I have no definite info. Those dates from the Valle family tree just doesn't tie in. For example, the tree info is April 4, 1908 immigration for Giovanni Battista Valle. I checked Ellis Island and that particular date of April 4, 1908 has a Giovanni Valle, his brother Antonio coming from Cenase, Bergamo, Italy. The age listed for Giovanni was 18 and that would make him born in 1890, and he was going to Jamestown P.A. Somebody has some wrong dates here. With all your experience of several thousand message entries what do you think?

I don't have definite info. With Ellis Island records
I put in Giovanni Valle, born 1882 ( public records from some member of a Valle family), northern Italian, plus or minus 2 years for some objectivity, and I came up with 1901, Giovanni age 19, which would make him born at 1882. Now there were 4 possibilities, with only one for Genoa, Italy, and that was for 1901. This Giovanni Valle was going to
Sacramento, California. As we know Geneology isn't an exact science but this Giovanni could be a good candidate.

The only Ellis Island that appears to tie in the birthdate
is a Giovanni Vale who came over in 1901 from Genoa to Sacramento, and his age dated him to about 1881.Chiavarti
is a commune to Genoa. It is a good possibility.

It appears to me there is no connection with the Giovanni Battista Valle in San Francisco and Pennsyvania mainly from 1882 birth date, from Canase,Sopis in Bergamo, the Ellis Island records stating 18 years old and born in 1890. I think Giovanni Valle's immigration date might be wrong and the one I am searching for came from Chiavari, Genoa Italy.

I looked at Ellis island records for a Giovanni Battista Valle in 1908, and a small village named Cenase was listed, but I think is probably Ceranesi ( very close to the place
of Chiavari, where Giovanni Valle was born. These are two small communes outside of Genoa. The records said he was going to Jamestown, Pennsylvania with his brother Antonio. I wonder if there is a 1910 Census conection Fro Giovanni Valle there. Could you check to see if it was possible?

Victor Anthony Valle died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at a convalescent home in Carmel after a long illness. He was 92.

A native of San Francisco, Mr. Valle moved to Corralitos with his family as a child and had lived in Watsonville for several years before moving to Carmel.

Mr. Valle served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. After the war, Mr. Valle returned to Watsonville and worked for the United States Postal Service for 38 years until his retirement. He was a member of the NALC and a life member of IOOF. Mr. Valle loved hunting, fishing, traveling, gardening and bowling. He was dedicated to his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Valle is survived by a son, John Anthony Valle of Watsonville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ann and Richard Erbe of Watsonville and Donna Jan and Ed Caldwell of Concord, Mass.; two sisters, Irene Giacoma of Watsonville and Julia Ruso of Louisiana; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris and his brother Mario.

Private graveside services were held. Mehl's Colonial Chapel assisted in funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association Monterey Chapter, 182 El Dorado St., Monterey, CA 93940 or to a charity of your choice.

I couldn't find any 1910 Census for Giovanni Valle, maybe he was in another state before coming to San Francisco. Also I couldn't find any 1920 Census for Maria Valle.

Hi,

I am looking for information regarding the surname VALLE. I don't have much to go by, but my great-grandfather was named Geronimo Valle, my great-great-grandfather was named Luciano Valle and his brother was named Florentino.

It is obvious that the two latter names are not Cuban names so I am under the impression that these individuals came from Spain, Italy, etc. and migrated to Cuba.

Any help someone can provide me will be greatly appreciated. I have been researching, but I can't find anything.

POLAND, OH – Frances M. Ameduri, 89, died Friday morning, October 21, 2011 at the Hospice House from complications from a recent stroke.

Fran was born Dec. 3, 1921, in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of Florian and Hope Valentino Valle.

A graduate of The Rayen School, she later participated in the War effort during World War II working at General Fireproofing manufacturing military equipment.

She was a charter member of the Holy Family Church.
She was a member of the Poland Seniors and enjoyed playing cards, belonging to several card clubs.

Frances was also a member of the Friends of the Poland Library.

Her husband, Anthony “Tony” Ameduri, whom she married Dec. 2, 1944, died April 9, 2006.

She is survived by her son, Gene (Kathie) Ameduri of Poland, Ohio; a brother, Joe Valle of Plymouth, Mich.; two grandchildren, Scott (Maureen) Ameduri and Dr. Rebecca Ameduri, MD and her husband, Dr. Sam Gupta MD; and three great-grandchildren, Alisha and Maya Gupta and Ava Ameduri.

Friends may call Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley in Frances’ memory.

My grandfathers name was Jacinto Valle and he was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. He ran away from home at an early age but he had many siblings. One was Silvestre, Estanislado and 3 others also Carmen. He was born in the 1880's and moved to Cananea, Sonora and then came to the United States.

Emigdio Valle is my great grandfathers name and my grandmothers maiden name is Maria Valle. We live in Kansas and my family was brought here from Guadalajara as well. They were brought here by my great- great grandpa and I can not remember his first name at all. My great grandmothers name was Andrea Valle although Im unsure of her maiden name.

My grandfather's name was Jose Valle. He was born GUADALAJARA but was estranged from his family for most of his life. He seems to have run away from home when he was about 14 years old. He had siblings - at least one of them also came to the US to California. Grandpa traveled from Mexico to New Orleans and worked on river boats, railroad, etc. He met my grandmother in Quincy IL and they married in Keokuk Iowa when he was about 19 years old. The marriage, my grandmother was Black, seems to have contributed to the estrangement from the family.

From what I have read through records, Amadors' father was Amador Del Valle Ortiz married to Geronima Garcia, and Amador Del Valle Ortiz father was Manuel Del Valle who was married to Bernadina Ortiz. This is the farthest I have been able to trace back. I too have heard that the Del Valle last name is one family. My father also had other women in his life, just as his father did. marta i too have been surching on ancester .com for pop and uncle joes family it has been very helpful to find out uncle joes birthday.i know from what pop told me his dad was canuto valle and his mom was mercedes ramirez. this would also be uncle joes parents. grandparents were feliciano valle and eugenia alvarado.hope this helps let me know if you find anything. love ya, aunt nikki

Wow! I have been looking for you folks, apparently my relatives, for a very long time. My branch of the Del Valle family came from Santander (in the formerly Asturias, now Cantabria province of Spain) in the first decade of the 1900's. The settled in Vermont and, later, Boston. However, there was a cousin who lived in Cuba in the 1940's-50's who owned a ranch there and, later, moved to Miami where he became a butcher after Castro came to power. Obviously, this is a very limited geneology, but it is all I really have. I know we had cousing living in the Santander area in 1963 as we visited them there. Also, Jesus, one of my uncle's names was Jesus (Del) Valle. In fact there is a road named after him in Alton Bay, New Hampshire.
