Family tradition suggests the family was ostracized by the rest of the family because Niessen Stenbock married a non-white.

Sorry but these people mentioned do not belong to the Swedish-Russian family of Counts Stenbock or Stenbock-Fermor. I am absolutely sure of that. Regards,

VASA FAMILY FROM LOKET, CZECHOSLOVAKIA

My grandfather, Karel, was from a large Czech family living in and around Loket. He had many brothers and sisters, who seem to have spread across Europe with at least one large family from his brother in Germany and a sister in Holland. My grandfather came to England in the early 20th century and was a glass blower.

If you are possibly a part of my family (my great grandfather's name was Anton) I would be pleased to hear from you.

I know that two of my mother's Czech cousins were still alive in the 1980s and had families of their own and we visited a German cousin in the 1970s

I'm looking for information on the Russian branch of the Stenbock family. Specifically, on the ancestors and siblings of Nissen Stenbock, four of whose children (Moses, Noah, Sarah and Isaak, born approx. between 1860 and 1870) emigrated to form the U.S. branch of the family.

I'm not 100% sure I've spelled Nissen's name correctly. This is how it is spelled on my great-grandfather, Noah's, death certificate.

Do you have any information on the family, or know who does? I've searched and searched, and keep hitting nothing but dead ends.

Have read your messages with interest. Several years ago I was in touch with your father-in-law as well as with his late mother and other relatives - all resulting in the inclusion of the ex-Russian branch of the Stenbock family into the Swedish Peerage-Book (Sveriges Adelskalender). -

Do you and your husband have any more children than your daughter Stephanie? No
Where does she live and work today? She is living w/ us in Oregon while going to college and working at my company's office.
Is your husband´s younger sister Natasha still unmarried? Yes

Sorry to have to tell you but you have absolutely no connection to the Swedish Royal House of Wasa, which is extinct since several centuries ago.

Aim is filling in an open space in the survey my father has made of all the descendants of his great-greatfather's on the father's side. I can add this information: the Alexander I am referring to is the Alexander who has been named in a good deal of "sites", that can be opened from internet.

My husband's family history is in a straight line to the year 700. I do not see an Alexander.

May I ask you: is your husband a near relation of Alexander Stenbock Fermor, Der Rote Graf? Could you in that case tell me if he ever married?

hi My last name is Vasa. I am an Indian(as in from India). Its nice to see that that there are people with that last name in other parts of the world too. There are stories that my ancestars (before atleast dozen generation) migrated to India from some part of europe. No one in my family or that in atleast 4 generations before me has remotely caucasian features, though.

I need information on Villi (Willi) Koski. 1909 at age 27 he was a miner in Gogebic County, Michigan. Oral history has him returning to Kurikka. He is a grandfather to me and we have serious medical problems in my siblings and offspring. I have been researching Kings of Sweden and have found information. Gustaf I Eriksson Vasa, Regent 1521-1523 King 1523-1560. Born 1496 at Lindholm in Uppland. Parents: Erik Johansson (Vasa) till Rydboholm (executed in Stockholm's bloodshed 8 November 1520) and Cecilia Mansotter of the Eka Family. I have about 15 pages of information on this Dynasty. My husband is related to them. I so have all the information on my family tree. Gustaf I Eriksson Vasa did marry three times and had 11 children. Hi, I married (1983) Nicholas Lee Count Stenbock-Fermor. His grandmother was the Countess Lenore Maria Stenbock. She documented a direct line tree from the year 700. She has King Vasa married to Catharina and having a son Gustav Fredrick 1529-1606. Then Wilhelm 1571-1638, Jacob David 1608-1658. Does this help you?

I, too have found very little about this man but what I have found is in Encyclopedia Brittania, under Sweden. It talks about early Vasa kings and Gustav I is listed. According to my sources, he married three times: 1)Katarina, Princess of Saxony on 09/24/1534;
2) Margareta Eriksdotter Lijonhufvud, Queen of Sweden on 10/01/1536
3) Katarina Gustafdotter Stenbock on 08/22/1552
I know from the encyclopedia that three of his sons suceeded him as king: Erik XIV, John III, and Charles IX.

If anyone has any more information on this particular family, especially Gustav I's granddaughter Margaret Vasa, b.1608, married John Hanson, I'd really appreciate it!
