We are no relation, they're just the godparents. I'm told they were friends of the family and neighbors in Gary. :) If you find out they're yours let me know!

I am not sure who you are but I am related to the Vernia's who lived in southern Indiana and Illinois in the late 1800's and early 1900's. My grandfather was Ernest Adolph and was married in Harrison County in 1914. He moved to Iowa but most of his brothers and sisters remained in Illinois and Indiana

They are my father's godparents. They would have lived in Gary, Indiana. If they are part of your family, I have photos of them from 1940 when my father was baptized. I would be happy to share them. :)
