Am searching for any info on my Victorino family. My great-grandfather on my mother's side: Antonio Jose Victorino (he changed his name to Antone Joseph)was born 3Dec1862 in Faja Dos vimes, Sao Jorge, Azores, Portugal to Francisco Jose Victorino and Barbara Joaquina Dos Anjos. Francisco was born 7Jan1836 and Barbara was born 26Oct1836. Francisco's parents were Jose Victorino da Souza and Barbara Delfina. Barbara's parents were Antonio De Quadias Pereira and Rosa Dos Anjos De Carmo. I also have on my father's side Jose Silveira Victorino who was married to Maria Aurelia who were from the isle of Pico in the Azores. Please let me know if we may have a link. Thanks. Peggy

Josephine V. Adamson

1908-2003

Josephine V. Adamson, 94, of Cheyenne died Feb. 17 at United Medical Center-West.

She was born April 4, 1908, in San Margaritia, Calif.

She was a homemaker.

She married Paul E. Adamson on Sept. 27, 1933, in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Mrs. Adamson was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

She is survived by two sons, Ben Adamson of Cheyenne and Bill Adamson of Pueblo, Colo.; seven
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Adamson in 1997; her parents, Antonio and
Josepine (Hill) Victorino; four brothers,; and three sisters.

Vigil for the Deaceased will be at 7 tonight at Schrader Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Schrader Chapel with the Rev. Gary J. Ruzicka
officiating.

Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Gary Adamson, Dan Perez, Jim Adamson, Ben Adamson and Roger Adamson.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may contribute to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Wyoming Chapter, 735 English Drive, Casper,
WY 82601.

Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are.
This is here as a lasting memorial for Mrs. Adamson.

Looking for information about the descendants or ancestors of Manuel
Silveira VICTORINO (Vitorino) who was born about. 1893 in Rosais, Sao
Jorge, Azores. He was the son of Maria Luisa Iria, grandson of Luiza
Josefa Iria Antonio Silveira Vitorino of Rosais Sao Jorge . He had 2
sisters, Mary and Adriana da Silveira and a brother Jose Silveira
Vitorino. Mary married
someone named souza lived in New Bedford, MA. Adrianna married Manuel
Silveira Silva from Fayal, lived in Taunton for a few years then moved

to Newcastle, CA. Jose stayed in Sao Jorge until his death in 1963

Manuel Silveira VICTORINO married Angela (Silveira (?)). They lived at
247 Broadway, Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. and were likely the parents of
four sons (Manuel - deceased FL, Antonio, Joseph, John - deceased CA)
and two daughters (Grace Evelyn).

Peggy! I am your third cousin! Antone was my great grandfather also! I believe that your grandmother was Amelia? If so, she would be my father's (Thomas J. Victorino JR) aunt. Please e-mail me back! Dennis L. Victorino, PFC, Materiel Control and Accounting Specialist--Served in the US Army 1970 until ??. Served at Atlanta Army Depot Nov 1970 thru April 1971, then went on to Viet Nam. Was married and a daughter was born sometime late 71 or early 72. Would be approximately 48-50 years old now. Have searched for years, he traveled home with me every week we were in Atlanta and went home with me for the birth of my daughter.
