I just accepted what was on other's trees and I think the information from different trees made two James Naylors. I believe they are probably the same one only the dates were estimated two years apart. That's my guess anyway.

Joseph franklin vineyard did make it to comanche county texas. He is my great grandfather. He is buried in a cemetary off of Hwy 6 in comanche. But he was born in 1872. Died 1976. His son my grandfather was William Wesley Vineyard. Who is also buried in the same cemetary plot. I was actually there last week. We have a yearly gathering to look after the graves of the other side of my family buried in white point cemetary. I am not certain of the name of the cemetary where my great grandfather was buried. Anyway either you have1860 as the incorrect date for his birth or there are more than one Joseph Franklin Vineyards.

She is buried in Kansas, William Vineyard is buried in Buchanan County, Missouri. He died about 1860.

Stephen Duncan was my ancestor and was the brother to Mary Duncan Vineyard. I have much info on Stephen's line but very little on Mary Vineyard. I know she died about 1930 but know little about the trial or what she did afterward.

I am Robert Joe Vineyard, son of Joseph B Vineyard, son of Joseph Franklin Vineyard from Comanche Tx. My Granddad was married to Mary Elizabeth Power. Both died in Comanche Texas 1971-1973 and are buried there.

His autopsy is online at Missouri Digital Heritage. His parents were Robert VINYARD, born at unk. location, and Bettsey CHRISTOPHER, also born at unk location. Informant was Peter VINYARD. Peter seems to have been born in 1852 since his autopsy is also online there, but parents information is all listed as "unknown."

Well I appreciate your googling! I have been in touch with said grandson, Don, and am pretty positive that he is my husband's cousin. His story about grandfather Donald Lee dying in a bar fight (among other things) fits, as I have heard this as well. He did not die in prison as I previously mentioned (I've heard both stories, family members were not sure).

Still need to connect Hazel J. Gwinn with Donald L. Vineyard with some documentation though.

My name is Donald Lee Vineyard, I am named for my Grandfather who I am was came from Crane, MO. I believe I may be able to help you with some answers. I have been told that my grandfather died in a bar fight when my father was 18 months old. I can confirm that he served in WWII. I believe that this is a copy of the info from his obituary.

"He was a veteran of World war II. Survived by his wife, Iva E. Vineyard and one son Garry Lee at the home. 2 sons Eddie Ray and James in Crane, MO. 5 brothers Harlen Vineyard, Paul O. Vineyard, C.E. I have seen several trees that indicate that Ishmael Vineyard was born 1737 in Stuttgart, Germany and that his parents were George Vineyard and Priscilla Bassett.

I would like to know the source for Ishmael's birth.

I would also like to point out that George was born in 1780, 43 yrs after Ishmael's birth--not a father. Maybe a son??

WAPELLO, Iowa — Evert Edwin Vineyard, 84, Wapello, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at the Wapello Nursing and Rehab Center.

Burial will be Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte. The Rev. Scott Smith will officiate. Burial will be Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, November 27, 2009, at the funeral home. A memorial in his name has been established for local Veteran Groups.

Evert was born on August 17, 1925, in rural Bonaparte, the son of Tom W. and Lila M. Wallace Vineyard. He married Esther E. Pender on February 14, 1948, and she preceded him in death on December 13, 1982.

He was a graduate of the Keosauqua High School, class of 1942. He farmed with his father until he joined the United States Navy in March of 1944, serving until May of 1946. While in the Navy he served in the South Pacific and was involved in several major engagements, including Iwo Jima.

He farmed for several years until he went to work for Benner Tea Co., where he worked until his retirement in 1983.

After retirement, he enjoyed spending winters in Texas, traveling, wood working and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Ed Vineyard and wife, Diane, of Wapello, and Earl Vineyard and wife, Kathi, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Wendi Vineyard, Tanya Patzner, Elizabeth Vineyard, Valerie Vineyard-Gipple, Craig Vineyard, and Brian Vineyard; and three great-grandchildren, Jack, Nick and Brooke Patzner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, one in infancy.
