I'm also curious about my family history, my family lives in Sonora and Baja California but my grandpa often visits Sinaloa, guasave, los mochis and those towns around... the way our eyes are seem as if we were from Asia, and the funny thing is that there are lots of Vizcarras in the Phillipines... I would like to know more about my family history so if anyone has detais! I'm here!!!!

I'm looking for my grandmother Margarita Vizcarra's (de Rubalcaba) relatives. She was born in Jocotepec, Jalisco, Mexico.Her mother was Rosa Olivo who was about 100 years old when she died possibly in 1979. Margarita's full blooded brother was Daniel Vizcarra. He married Justina. Daniel & Justina's daughters and son would be: Juana, Julia, Isabel, Sara,and Alfonso. Isabel married a Juan Sanchez and had a daughter by the name of Victoria. Isabel would have spent time in Tijuana with the Rubalcaba family around 1960.
I really would like to know who Rosa Olivo's parents were and any other information. Please contact me if any of this sounds familiar.

Hi! Your message made me curious because my grandmother's maiden name was Vizcarra.She was born in Guadalajara. She looked as though she could be mixed with Philippino. Some people mistake my mother for Philippino and not Mexican, although she was also born in Mexico. Also, I had a friend who people thought was my sister....her father just happens to be Phillipino. I don't know how much of a connection there is there yet. But I think it's very interesting!!!!

I was born Shawn Vizcarra. My mother's name is Louise I have a brother Emilio born 1957 and sister Josephine born 1955. Do you know any of these Vizcarra's?

If you google Vizcarra. you will find, like any family, a colorful mix. A Vizcarra founded Mexicali, is the mayor of Temple City, commandeers the U.S. fleet in Okinawa, is a famous caricaturist in Spain, stars in futbol clubs in Mexico. Look on google images and you will find many artists and a lot of Filipino Vizcarras. Vizcarras arein physics,medicine,dentistry,politics,literature,sports and entertainment.The Vizcarras some say are Basque in orgin from Vizcaya,Spain. The first recorded Vizcarra in U.S. records was in New Orleans.The Vizcarras has their own coat of arms and their have been corridos written about Vizcarras. The Vizcarras i know come from El Salto,Durango and have intermarried with the Vasquezes,the Lares, the Ramirezes,the Bonillas, the Arriagas and the Lopezes.My grandfather was Tomas Lares Vasquez Vizcarra and my abuela was Feliciana Bonilla Vasquez Vizcarra and their children include Antonio,Antonia,Valerio(my Dad),Celia,Maximina(all resting in peace). Anselmo"Chemo"Vizcarra Still Lives! One brother was lost to the scorpion's bite and their is a long lost sister out there. Most have settled in California: L.A.,Compton,Indio,and surrounding areas. Much love to all of you!They say Tomas was a sculptor, some say train conductor. There is a picture of Tomas and Feliciana in Kansas in the 40's.

my grandparents and my dad are from choix sinaloa. Dads name is jesus R. Vizcarra. Grandparents live in Guamuchil sinaloa but I have family in mochis, monterrey, veracruz, cabos, san felipe, mexicali, california and a couple other places.

nose mucho de la familia porque no tuve mucho contacto, estoy buscando informacion del apellido y de la familia en general. mi padre se llama daniel y es de mexico tambien, a mis abuelos no los conozco.asi que a lo mejor en una de esas aqui los encuentro.que hay de los que tambien son de mexico ?
cual es el nombre de sus papas y abuelos?

Tio Javier was my uncle by marriage and he passed away on September 30, 2004 and this is his obit. There is one wrong information on his obit, which says he was born in Spain, but he was really born in Mexico, what town I don't know.

I am looking for information on Emmanuel/Manuel Viscarra/Vizcarra
I have no other informaton than the following:
He married Rosa lucille morton, most likely in oklahoma or Missouri during the early 30's.

They moved to Long island City NY in the 30's and then headed to California, probaly during the late 30's also.

Rosa was married previously and had a son.

It is possible that the viscarra's owned gas stations in california.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Please let me know.

well i asked my father and he said that we have family in Los Mochies, Culiacan, Hermosillo, Monterey, and in California and thats all i konw oh yeah here in Phoenix, Arizona also. of course.
