They had a child in 1880 in Coweta County Georgia. 1904 Catherine Elizabeth Ward and Andrew J Ward were married in GA. The child born in 1880 married James Barrentine in GA. These are my Great Grand Parents.

HERE IS THE INTERESTING FACTOIID: MAJOR JOHN WARD (REV WAR - #1) 1ST MARRIED ANN CHILES, SHE DIED 1765; HE MARRIED SARAH CLARK (LYNCH), DEC 27, 1766. MAJOR JOHN WARD & ANN CHILES HAD A DAUGHTER, ELIZABETH WARD WHO MARRIED JOHN FINNEY, A REV WAR VETERAN (REV WAR - #2). SARAH CLARK WAS THE WIDOW OF MAJOR CHARLES LYNCH, WHOSE SON, CAPTAIN JOHN LYNCH, WAS A REV WAR VETERAN (REV WAR - #3). ALL THREE OF THESE REV WAR SOLDIERS ARE IN MY DIRECT LINE (STREET FAMILY).
Let me know if anyone would like further info. There are other Rev War soldiers within these intertwined families, just not in my line.

I've hit a "brick wall" in my research and would greatly appreciate any help any one can provide...

I'm searching for more information on a Mosley or Molsie Ward, born abt 1854, who lived in Hampton County, South Carolina. I have census records from 1880 and 1900. The 1880 census shows her mother was "Betsey" but I'm uncertain of a last name as it was recorder on the census as "Ward" as well. I also have daughters Sarah Sallie and Jane, and an additional child who is unknown. Sarah's death certificate doesn't list the father and I cannot find a death certificate for Jane.

Hi I am looking for information on Harry George Ward born December 18th 1883 Nottingham England. I belive he was married to Edith Wilkenson born about 1882 in England.

The facts I have that I knoe to be true are the following.
-Harry George Ward born December 18th 1883 Nottingham
-wife Edith? about 1882
Both emigrated from England to Canada in 1904
-they were married december 1904 some evidence suggests they may have married in Canada. But perhaps before leaving England.
-They lived in Hamilton, Ontario Canada children. Richard,Albert,Lilly,Francis Edith,Elsie,Dorthy.
-Harry Ward Enlisted with the 86th machine gun battalion in Hamilton in 1915 and served overseas during the great war.
He survived the war and returned to Canada living on Dundurn Street in Hamilton.
He passed away in 1958.
Edith in 1962.
At this point I can not make a solid connection to his family in England. I am in the process of planning a trip to Ottawa where I can view his entire service record perhaps I can gain something from that.
If anyone can help or has a suggestion I would appreciate it.

I have this family in my line twice also. There are many of the Roberts, Partridge, Hardy, Ward, Hapsgood, Buckley, Hogg,Reese, Briscoe, and several other famlies who are from this lineage. I have read the history from Bear Lake, Idaho. This lineage is on www.findagrave.com ,. If you follow it long enough you will find them.

Bell and Della Murphy were Darius's step-daughters.

the 1920 & 30 census show that Oscar Ghan as a widower, so Bell Ward Ghan died sometime afte 1910
Bell Murphy was married at least 2 times, one was Brown and the second was an Andrews. I know that she lived past 1930.

I found a marriage record for Verona Ward age16 and Oscar J. Ghan age 23 dated 23 Jan 1909 Lowery, Ok. Darius E. Ward is shown as her parent Nw here is the question, why is she not listed as his child anywhere else, this is the only place that I have found her. She isn't shown in his diary with his other children. The Ghan's are from San Francisco, Ca.

If anyone can solve this mystery please let me know.

Captain Benjamin Porter Ward was born about 1899, graduated from the US Naval Academy about 1920, retired from the US Navy about 1950. After his retirement, he taught at Auburn University, then retired to his home in Pass Christian, Mississippi. When and where was he born? When and where did he die? Where was he buried? My g.g.grandfather b. 1820 probably Edgefield Co.,S.C. married Loucinda Hartley b. 1824 from Edgefield Co.. S.C., Moved to Houston Co. Ga. as overseer of plantation,then had land in Dooly Co. ,Ga. second marriage to Mary Elzabeth Dickson produce 4 children,one my gandfather, Joseph.Family traced to England and probably Seth Ward, Bioshop in Church of England who had 2 brothers who came to Virginia. I know this connection from a great Uncle,also Melgie, by Melgie 1, 3rd marriage who had the FT traced back to 1066 but none of his children could find his manuscript. I have all the info from his 3 marriages and met many of the relatives.

Pronounced Stefen not Steven. My grandmother was seperated from her husband when she met Stephen ward. They had a child over the course of their short one year relationship. The broke up the day my dad was born. Stephen was transferred from McClellan Afb Sacramento CA to somewhere in Texas. That's all he told my grandmother. He never reached out to his son. My grandmother put her husbands name...whom she was seperated from.....on Stephen's son's birth certificate only because she thought they were going to work it out. I have a little more info....if you think you know who this Stephen ward is I would love to know more. I suspect he was married and being in the millitary this relationship might have been a secret. I need some help. Any clues would be awesome.

Go to Sally's Place online and look at the Ward's in that tree. They are from Bertie County, NC. There is an Isaac Hill Ward in this group of Wards.

I have a Thomas Wood Ward who was from NC. I know his DNA matches the Ward's on Sally's Place, but I can't connect them. There was an Isaac Hill Ward or Isaac H Ward also in the same town in Dover, TN where my Thomas Wood Ward was in Tenn. My Thomas Wood Ward stayed in Dover about 20 years then came to Texas in the Austin area.

The name Cornelius caught my eye, but it is not my line.

For you search, I would suggest you get copies of death certificates at the Dept. of Vital Records in the state where they died...get for of all your relatives who have died. Their parents names should be in these document that should give you a start to go back.

Also, look on Ancestry.com for census reports that might have some of your relatives listed. The 1940 census records are out, but aren't posted like all the other census reports as of now. I'm sure since they were just released, it may be a while before they are online for easy access. If you know names of grandparents, you might be able to find the cenus reports on them for further information.

Go to a Genealogy library in your area and talk to the genealogist at the library for suggestions to help you. You can also look for obituaries that might also help you at the library.

Your best bet is www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. I looked and there are records for Thomas Ward marrying Agnes Sneddon in 1940 as well as a birth record of Agnes Sneddon in 1914 and a death record for Agnes (yr 2003) as well. The records cannot be viewed online, but can be ordered through the website. You should find parents names on the marriage cert and who gave the info on Agnes' death cert. I am from the Ward family as well, but these two don't seem to be related to my line.

Rose Ward of Maryland

I am looking for information on the ancestors and descendants of Rose Ward.
Rose was born Sally Maria Diggs in 1851 in Charles County, Maryland. After gaining her freedom in 1860, with the help of a New York congregation, she changed her name to Rose Ward.
In 1879, she married James E. Hunt and they had two daughters together: Eva and Florence.
Florence died in 1926. Rose followed her two years later in 1928. James died two years after Rose in 1930. I do not know what happened to Eva. She was still living at the time of the 1930 census. It's unknown whether she married.

If you have entered Nancy Ward into your tree. Click on her profile and scroll down to the bottom of the page and it will say search web. that will automatically take you to the google pages that contain info about her. or you can just type in her name where you enter web sites and it will take you there. I'm glad it helped
also you can type in her name from your home page and hit search and it will pull up information that other people have posted to their trees. in the left column there are many subjects you can click such as pictures, stories, military service and family trees. jas3

My cousin and I are actually traveling to Nancy Ward's grave site this summmer. I jumped-the-gun and told her that we were related to Keziah and Nancy Ward, before I could confirm. Nanye-hi tsistuna gis Ke wildrose Kingfisher beloved woman
Many family trees list her with several husbands and many children by each. but they all seem to agree that her first husband was Kingfisher Fivekiller with children names Catherine Ka Ti and Hiskyteehee
Second husband was William Bryant Ward with children named Kezia and Elisabeth Betsy (1757-1793)
Google has many references for Nancy Ward that is very interesting such as her being a very successful business owner, her heroic battle with husband Kingfisher against the creek indians in Ballground Ga. where Kingfisher died. It also tells about her being part of the Daughters of the Revolutionary war. The site also verifies her ancestory line with the Moytoy line from the carpenters. Hope this helps. jas3

Joseph Ward was the son of John Ward & Elizabeth Groves, he was born in 1773 in Wednesbury, Staffs. In 1802 he married to Sarah Fox & they lived in Tipton, Staffs.
They had children named :-
William 1804, Dudley (He married to Margaret Breeze)
Zachariah 1806, Tipton (He married to Elizabeth Timmins)
Elizabeth 1808, Tipton
Mary 1812, Tipton died 1813
Joseph 1814, Tipton died 1816
Thomas 1816, Tipton (He married to Sarah Cartwright)
Mary Ann 1819, Tipton

Joseph died in 1851, Dudley.
