Dear Ware researchers -

My grandmother was Mary Alma Ware, youngest daughter of Harvey and Lucinda. My mother had many stories of her grandfather, because apparently in his later years he lived with their family in Breckenridge, Texas. I also have passed down to me oil and gas mineral rights from the land that Harvey farmed. You can see some information I have posted on my public "Hamm family tree" on ancestry.com. The URL is:
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/32760027/family
I will post as many of the stories as I can as time permits. He was apparently quite a character, a left-handed fiddler and "quite a walker" as my grandmother said. I would also like to hear of any information or photos that others may have.
I am looking for any info about William Ware and Family. According to the 1930 Census, William at the time was 72 years of age and his wife was 45. It lists her name as Queene on the ancestry website, but on the census form I cannot make it out. The first name looks like Qui and I cannot makeout the last letters. They had a daughter, 26 @ the time of the census, listed on the census as Estrella Ware. According to my deceased grandmother, who was Estrella's daughter, her mothers first name was Estella. My grandmother is listed on the census as Arbella Blaine age 4. My grandmother's actual name is Armella Cortez Blaine. Her father was Aubrey G Blaine, but I am just looking for any info on the Wares.

I am also a Waer ... Does anyone know if one Abraham Waeir (also spelled Wyer,Ware ,Weir and more) who was born in 1683 not known where, lived in Oyster Bay LI. for a time then married Abiah Colver 11/25/1716 in Groton Ct. , had 2 known at this time children son, Thomas born 1723 died 1779 buried on SChooleys MT. ,Morris Co. NJ and daughter Sarah who married Thomas Mann in the home of Robert Colver 1747, might be an ancestor of the Family in South Jersey? Abraham Waeir owned Salt Mills , around Barneget the town of waretown was supposedly named for him.. He is buried off what is now highway 9 in an ancient cemetery no longer used adn that his tombstone had been used as an anchor by some local boys for their boat nack in the earlier 20th century.. The family of Abraham is said to have been scotish descent...Have been searching for years to find more on him and any other descendants and connections to the rest of the family in S. Jersey , please if anyone knows anything on Abraham Waeir ,reply , I have alot of Waer (all spellings) info.. including my line from Abraham to myself.. that I will hapily share with any interested..
I have very little on this couple. I know they lived in Stewart County, GA when and after they married (marriage in 1869 and shown as a couple with no children in 1870 Federal census). He was about five years younger than Laura. I also noted his father, Simeon Brown was living in Quitman County, GA in 1860, before the marriage of Laura and Osborn. A Simeon Brown (widowed), also born in SC as was the father of Osborn, is shown in Florida in 1880 with several children. Their ages ranged from the teens to very young. These could not have been all his by the wife in 1860 as she would have been in her 50's still having children. What was the children of Laura and Osborn's names...perhaps I can help find some info.

It appears the family remained quakers in that area for some time.

My Great Great Great Grandfather, Jedediah A. Ware was born in NJ but moved to Missouri after the Civil War.
