Hi, My ggmother was born MaryJane Waring. I
have written a long message three times and
been knocked off the net before I sent it.
this time I will only say that Sampson Waring
is my arriving ancestor. Arrived at "the
Cliffs" in Maryland in 1642. there are
published records at the DAR in DC; in a book
called "the Bowie Book"; and in the annals of
the Confederacy. There are links to Texas
Waring families, some north of the border,
and possibly to the SC Warings. My Warings
were not Irish but Norman-French (English).
I'd love to share what I learned at my dear
Mother's knee. Regards, Paula
