Just moved from Montgomery CO. MD. I don't know about George Waring specifically but there was a Waring farm in Germantown. Infact, there used to be a Waring Station on the railroad there. Waring Station Road exists where the station used to be. In the church, St. Rose of Lima, there are several Warings buried. I remember there were Warings married into the Clopper family, another local family who ran a mill there in Germantown. Germantown is located just outside Gathersburg, Montgomery CO., MD.
If you're in the area maybe you can check it out.

i have spent the last 10 years researching the Warings from UK. I am especially intersted in information about Richard Waring whose wife may have been Mary Roebuck who died between 1850 and 1860 in a carriage accident. He had at least two sons, William, Richard and a daughter Mary. William repained in UK, Richard and Mary came to the US. They were all from the Belfast area - Waringstown -. William and Richard were raised by their uncle, Sir Henry Waring, Mayor of Plymouth.
Do you know anything of these WArings?
