My grandfathers name was William Foster Waring and his dad's name was Samuel Waring

I am trying to trace my family tree and as far as i can go is to Lexington SC, I am hoping to be able to trace it back beyond that my grandfather William Foster Waring and my grandmother Flora Strothers

I can't tell you exactly where *to* look, but I can tell you where not to waste your time looking. Any line that you find leading back to Benjamin Waring is not going to be your bunch. Common male given names in that line are Edmund, Edward, John, Joseph, Thomas, William. Samuel is virtually unheard of as a given name; there's one in the second generation and one in the eleventh, to my knowledge. Surnames you'll see marrying in to that line are Beamor, Dawson, Harleston, Ioor, Malbone, Mazyck, Vanderhorst, Waties. You come across any of them, you're probably on the wrong track. The Low Country Warings were very given to recycling names, so the same ones recur again and again through the generations.
