I am searching for a friend and have the following and hope someone may be able to add to the info:

From a birth record a William E. PICKARD b. 1906 in Yorkshire to Samuel Smith PICKARD & Mary Jane WALLER.

1881 census -
Alice WARING @39, married, head of household, b. Blackpool, Lancashire
John PICKARD @52, son-in-law, laborer, b. Leeds, Yorkshire
Mary Jane PICKARD @18 Blackpool, granddaughter
Mary Ann PICKARD @14 " "
John W. PICKARD @6 Leeds grandson
Samuel Smith PICKARD@3 Leeds, "

IGI:
John Reynard PICKARD (s/o William PICKARD & Mary)
b. 27 Aug 1827
ch: 14 Oct 1827 Quarry Hill/York St. Primitive Methodist, Leeds

IGI & message board:
William PICKARD, b. c.1802, d. 20 Mar 1843
m. 22 Nov 1825 St. Peters, Leeds
to Mary Smith, b. 28 Feb 1806 (she 2m. to James GRAY)
child:
George Smith PICKARD, b. 23 Mar 1841

I am wondering if the John Reynard PICKARD is the same as the 1881 census John and whether the William and Mary is the same as William PICKARD & Mary Smith.

Any info appreciated, thanks, Jim.

Hello
I realise your message is 3 years old, but I hope you might still be around and interested in following this up.

My gt.gt.grandfather was George Smith Pickard, and I can provide a lot of information about the various family members mentioned in your message.

I would be very interested in learning more about Samuel Smith Pickard and what happened to him, as he is something of a mystery to me.

I hope to hear from you.

Trevor Wright
