Hello, Tom:
I, too, am trying to trace Thomas
Waring [the first] in
England, so far without success. I have convinced myself that our "first" Thomas in VA Colony can c. 1750-60, probably as a refugee from turbulent times in England; met and married Alice
Underwood in Oct. 1673 in S. Farnham
Parish church. This couple had two children, Thomas [called the Immigrant] shortly after 1673 and Elizabeth
Cordelia in c. 1680. And then, I believe, he returned to
England. His son, Thomas, m. Elizabeth
Gouldman. . .and so it all begins.
If you have anything to support or deny the above, I would be pleased to read it.
