I'm confused, can someone tell me which is the correct line for the parents of John Waterman b. 1715/16 Providence Co. R.I., died Feb 1799 Johnston Prov Co R.I., married to Mary Whipple on 17 June 1739 in Prov. Co?
He is the Son of Resolved Waterman (Ensign?)who was born abt 1667 died abt 1718/19. Which wife of this Resolved is the Mother of John? Is it Anne Harris or is it Mercy unknown? I have seen it both ways.
I am researching the line as follows:

2. Resolved Waterman/Mercy Williams
3. Resolved Waterman/????
4. John Waterman/Mary Whipple
5. Laban Waterman/Esther Eddy
