I sent you a direct e-mail too but check each link I sent to you. Where he should be buried might be different. We just had that happen in our tree. born in DE, thought he died there as a child but he actually moved when his mother remarried, died in West virginia at age 35 but was buried in Maryland - that was a long way to transport a body around the start of WWII. We had that happen to another in our tree too - died in Atlantic Highlands, NJ but was buried in Lambertville. Again a long ride in 1944 just as it would be today because there's no straight route from there to Lambertville. Don't count anyone out until you know for sure. Sometimes you can back into things!

Please forgive my lateness in answering your questions. Many issues, but now back in with full force! I have been looking for ANYTHING on my GGP George B Waterman born 16.Nov.1872 in New York State, and died 20.Sep.1925 in Troy, NY. I have searched for many years and cannot find anything on him besides census from 1910 and 1920. I have written the state for a birth and death certificate with no luck. My newly uploaded tree is now on this site. From what you wrote about back in November, it doesnt appear that we are connected, but you never know. Please respond when you are able. I promise to be quicker with mine.

Are you trying to locate any specific Watermans? Just last night I found a census report with a cousin of my father's attached to it as a "cousin" to the "head". The head was Dorothy Waterman and connection to our family is Grace McConnell. Grace was the daughter of John Cornelius and Grace Griffin McConnell. I do not know where the Waterman connection comes into play. I don't believe it's because of the McConnell connection. Grace was 12 when her mother Grace died suddenly (found a death notice on Ancestry.com). Grace Griffin's funeral services were from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Brooklyn and burial was in Calvary in Woodside NY but I need to confirm this. Grace became a Nun and I met her a few times. She was very much connected to our family in Monmouth County, NJ. I believe Grace retired to a mother house per se and is buried somewhere on Long Island. I can obtain the info from another cousin. Keep in touch.
Theresa

Robin,
I regret that I don't have an obituary on Hazel Beatrice Waterman. However, you noted in yoour posting that her parents were Earnest Howard Waterman and Ruth Elizabeth Ward Waterman. Do you know the sources of this relationship? I ask because according to "The Waterman Family, Volume III: Descendants of Richard Waterman of Providence, Rhode Island, Together with Records of Many Other Family Groups of the Waterman Name" by Donald Lines Jacobus (1887-1970) (compiler) and Edgar Francis Waterman, published by The Connecticut Historical Society, Hartford, CT, 1954, in Volume 3, page 211 Hazel's parents are identified as Franklin Eugene Water (born 30 July 1866 in Shutesbury, Franklin Co., MA) and Ruth Elizabeth Ward (born ca 1874 in Rockport, New Brunswick, Canada). There is an Ernest Howard Waterman identified in "The Waterman Family" also in Volume 3, page 211, but he was reportedly born 17 May 1901 in Springfield, Hampton Co., MA, about three years after Hazel Beatrice. This Ernest Howard was married in 1923 to Eliza R. Burgess and they had a daughter named Hazel ANN born in 1935.
Sinerely,
Jon
I am seeking an obituary for Hazel Beatrice Waterman in the Springfield area. Her parents were Ernest Howard Waterman and Ruth Elizabeth Ward Waterman. She was born in Springfield, MA on 30 Nov 1898 and died in 5 Dec 1917 in Bridgeport, CT. The family story is that she was killed in CT in a train crash while on a visit to see her fiance. I can find no record of a passenger train crash in CT at that time.

Thank you for you time!

Robin

When he married her he was cut off from his family. I have no connection any further back than Walter C. I do not know if he other siblings or who his mother was.
Richard Waterman 1680-1673 Providence

I'm new at this and I've been looking into my Waterman ancestry. My father left us when I was 5 years old, and I never knew much about that side of my family. I was very surprised to see where my search took me. I think that I've traced it back to Richard. If someone could confirm this for me, I'd be really greatful. I think it is Richard, Nathaniel, Benjamin 1670-1672, Benjamin 1707-1760, Benjamin 1739/40-1832, Benjamin 1778-1850, Benjamin 1823-1895, Benjamin 1850-1911, Benjamin 1886-?, Worrall, Worrall, Me. I'm positive of the line from me until Benjamin 1823-1895, the rest was a little harder to figure out. Thanks!

Both are buried in Hillsdale cemetery, Lathrop, Susquehanna Co., PA.

Would like parents and children.
Re: Waterman from Germany

I am not sure yet, but I was told my Watermans came from Germany as well. Unless we are related of course. Which would help greatly because I have nothing on my family that came over and have been searching for years! All I have is a name and date. George B? Waterman born 1872 in NY, parents from Germany unknown names. No result from NY vital records, which puzzles me. He married Mary Hart possibly in 1908. Does any of this connect? Thank you for replying.
