I have been out of the loop for some time, but just got a bee in my bonnet to get back in the saddle re: genealogy. Actually, it's been YEARS!!!

That may be my dad's father. I don't know where he is buried, but I'm fairly certain it would be in that area. He was a market gardener, so obviously had land, large enough to grow substantial sized crops (one of which was watermelon).

He died in 1951, I think.

Hi,
I'm seeking information on my family with the last name weekley. The known two places they lived was Ohio and West Virgina. My grandparents went to west virgina in the late 1800's and began having children there. I have all my families names but I'm wondering if theres someone out there that also has weekley blood. Do anyone know anything about Gerry Weekley abt 1886-89 that lived in Tallahtchie Co according to the 1910 census. Wife name was Julia abt 1886. She had 2 children, a son, abt 1904 and daughter, abt 1906 with the last name of Williams. Gerry and Julia also had a child together named McKinley abt Jul 1909 whose birthplace is listed as LA. They were only married one year according to this census.

I am looking for descendants and extended family of an Augusta Booker, abt 1884 that married an Aleck/Alex Weakley, abt 1870 on 29 Jan 1904 in Grenada, MS. Believe there was a child born from this union named ?Corvitta, abt 1904. Her parents were George/Katie Booker and she had up to 12-13 siblings. Some of the names I have been able to find are: Mary-1888, Hosea/Hose-1889, George Jr-1893, John-1895, James/Jim-1898, Hinny/Henry M-1900, but there are more.
Any help is appreciated. I am trying to get this Weakley connection to my family of Weekleys but having a hard time tracking down family of Augusta.

I am looking for information on Mariah/Maria Weekley or Wheatley who died 6/26/1898 in North Platte, Lincoln County, Nebraska. I am trying to lay to rest an old family rumor. She is possibly the wife of Ely Weekley or Wheatley. The handwriting on the note that went with a painting of her is awful and hard to make out for sure what it is. I'm trying to find info on my g grandfather, Elijah Weekley, born in 1841 in Virginia and son of James Madison Weekley born 1816 in Virginia. As of the 1870 US Census, Elijah lived in Macon County, Missouri. Elijah married "Sadie" Hughey (his second wife)in January of 1889 in Missouri. They had two children, George Thomas and Frankie May. Sadie died in about 1896. I'm having a great deal of difficulty finding any records or information on "Sadie" Hughey, although I've found a Sarah Hughey and I believe Sadie was a nickname fo Sarah at that time. I'm just looking for any information or leads that will help me establish definitively that I'm on the right track. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

I am directly descended from Wm Martin Weekley's brother, John Wesley Weekley (b.30 Aug 1859 in Centerville,Belmont County, Ohio. d. 27 May 1935 in Bethesda, Belmont County, Ohio) John is my great-grandfather. John Wesley married Mary Druscilla STIDD (b.25 Sep 1862 in Wingett Run, Washington, Ohio d. 6 Feb 1931 in Bethesda as well)

John Wesley & Mary had 3 children: Nancy Emaline, Chester Orville and Robert Earl WEEKLEY

Nancy Emaline WEEKLEY (my grandmother) b. 10 Sep 1885 in Centerville d. 10 Sep 1962 in Somerton, Belmont County, Ohio. She married my grandfather, George Homer FARRABEE (b. 11 May 1878 Greene County, PA d. 25 June 1959 in Jerusalem, Belmont County, Ohio.

Nancy (my gmthr) & hsb George (went by Homer) had 3 children: Hazel Marie Farrabee, Franklin D Farrabee (my father), and Virgina Mae Farrabee.

His son Emerson Merwood Weekley is my grandfather. I can give you all I have. I don't have any info on the Weekley family past William and am very greatful for your help. I do have a ton of info on the Loy family. Very long family tree, I have done a lot of checking and so far what I have found seems correct. It may help you to know that Mary remarried or at least took another mans name. I can't find marriage records for the second marrage. She married Robert Litman, you can find them on the 1930 census living in Shadyside, OH. If you give me your email address I will send you all the info I have on them. I am interested in William F. Weekley (b) 12-1-1868 Al. he married Emily Johnson McCormick 4-25-abt. 1893 in 1900 they lived in Crestview, Walton, Fl. In 1870 William lived in Baldwin Co. Al. In 1910 he was again living in Baldwin Co. He had children Eben, Allie, Allen, and Emily. I am just starting to work on this family. Jack Lee Weekley, 75, Wabash passed away 11:04 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Hospice Home and Visiting Nurses in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born to Hallie and Bertha (Mead) Weekley on January 10, 1934 in Parker, Indiana. He married Ruth E. Mitchell on June 13, 1954, she survives.

Jack was a school teacher at Noble from 1956-1961, after 1961 he taught at Southwood and Northfield High Schools. Before his retirement he taught Industrial Arts at Northfield High and Ball State University, also Vocational Building Trades. Jack retired in 1995, where he continued his education efforts with manufacturing and distributing educational construction models. Jack has two U.S. patents that he achieved in his life. He was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Somerset, American Quarter Horse Association, Missouri Fox Trotters and Indiana Industrial Technology Association.

Along with his wife, Ruth; he is survived by a son, Jerry Weekley (Diane) of Wabash; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Busso (Bill) of Kalamazoo, MI; Mrs. Melanie Boyll (Tom) of Wabash and Mrs. Cindy Runkel (Steve) of North Manchester; four sisters, Mrs. Rosalie Ewing of Parker, Mrs. Shirley Stewart (Elmer) of Mooresville; Mrs. Mary Huffman of Muncie and Mrs. Carol Cadwell of Albuquerque, N.M.; ten grandchildren, Analise Busso of Kalamazoo, MI; Mallory Busso of Kalamazoo, MI; D.J. Marshall of Wabash; Clint (Lisa) Marshall of Florida; Brian Runkel of North Manchester; Jama Runkel of North Manchester; Torina Runkel of North Manchester, Jessica Weekley of Wabash; Chelsea (Ben) Laudermilch of PA and Audra (Steven) Carnaqua of Muncie; four great grandchildren, Colton and Austin Marshall of Florida; Gracelyn Laudermilch of PA and Maddox of Marshall; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ok, according to a census, Warren L Weekley was from Alabama, and Lillie Belle Miles was from Michigan. In the censuses, there are many mistakes in the spelling: Wessley, Weekley, Weakly, etc.
I am still quite stuck. Is there someone out there with a bone they can throw my way?

I am looking for information on Warren Weekley (1874-1932), Lillie Bell Miles (5 Aug 1886-9 Jan 1964), and their descendants.
I have a listing of children, but no significant data on most: Eris, Helen, Harry, Howard (D:Mar 1996), Palmer (1906-1983), Warren Lamar (28 Feb 1910-9 Mar 1973), John (9 Nov 1915-10 Apr 1942), Genevieve (3 Dec 1920-12 Jul 1983), Oscar Clark "O.C.", Mildred.

I am Genevieve's grandaughter. I cannot seem to find any family members with more information. Not even marriages, and I know many were married! I was just to young to care.

William and Mary Weekley are my great grandparents.
My Father moved from Bay Minette,Ala. to Miami,Fla.
with William and Mary when he was about twenty years old.
His Brother William moved to central Fla. when he was older.

I am looking for Pat Weekley, maiden name, who live in St. Francois Co., Mo. I know she lived in Desloge, Mo., then moved to Elvins, Mo. I do not know where the family may have moved from there. If anyone knows this lady, please have her reply to this message so I can contact her. She was an old freind when we were in grade school.

Now I am answering my own question - I would like to have more proof but it seems likely that Nancy Ann Marks was the widow of Issac Marks, born in 1767 Ireland, died 11-10-1798 in Washington Co, KY.

Ancestry.com's One World Tree says that Isaac's wife was Nancy Ann Bull. The chldren in the household of Abraham Weekley/Weakly in 1810 (age and sex only on those early censuses) seem to match up with this being the same Nancy who married Abraham. Abraham and Nancy apparently had several children as well. I suspect one of them to be William Elze Weekly, born 1812 in Nelson Co, KY.

I am looking up info for a freind and his line is part of the Thomas Weekley line from Maryland to Virginia and to Minnesota (from what states I"m not sure). I am trying to find info for a friend on the Weekley's. He also mentioned that his Weekley was an aide decamp to Washington at Valley Forge. Haven't found anything yet but he does live in Minnesota.
