KEITHSBURG, Ill. -- Barbara Truman Weeks, 57, of Keithsburg, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Ill.

Services will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keithsburg. The Rev. G. J. Plunkett will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Keithsburg.

Mrs. Weeks was born June 30, 1942, in Mercer County, the daughter of Darwin H. and Winifred B. Callahan Truman. She married Allen W. Weeks on Feb. 20, 1960, in Keithsburg. She attended Maple Grove School. She graduated from Keithsburg High School.

She was employed by Keithsburg Grade School as a janitor. She loved working with area children in different capacities including Cub Scout Troop leader and commissioner and overseer of the Keithsburg Ball Diamond.

She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keithsburg and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Allen; five sons, Bradley Weeks and his wife, Julie, Kim Weeks and his fiance, Jennifer, Thane Weeks and his wife, Shawna and Dan Weeks and his wife, Teresa, all of Keithsburg, Darwin and Gail Weeks of Oquawka; eight grandchildren, Chad, Amanda, Brooke, Christopher, Andrew, Bethany, Courtney and Richelle, her mother, Winifred Waugh of Aledo; and two sisters Audrey Nylin of West Burlington and Lynette Louck of Keithsburg.

She was preceded in death by her father.
