Ashley, I see a couple of key names in your list that may be some connection....I have Benjamin Sharp Weeks, b. ca 1810, Burke/Jefferson Co., GA, we believe his father is Thomas Hamilton Weeks,b. ca. 1780, SC or GA. Notice the "Hamilton" in your Weeks line, do you see any connection? Many thanks, Brinson Weeks.

Ashley I am interested in the specific generation of Wiley S Weeks born 1798 in GA. Do you happen to have any info regarding siblings of Wiley? I have interest in an Ashley P Weeks born 1811 in GA.

It is possible that Wiley MAY have been a brother, there are only 13 years difference in the years of birth and based on the timelines of births in early families that is plausible that they may have been brothers or step brothers.

Please take a minute and contact me back, even if your info is negative regarding my questions, at least that way I will know you do not have additional info that may assist me.

Thanks for your time and efforts.
Cordially,
Carrie Bias Hoffert

According to the notes by the grandson of Benjamin Weeks and the son of James Weeks and Francis Goff who was John Franklin Weeks he writes:

"My Great Grand Father's name was Benjamin. His oldest son Charley married a Miss Upton, his 2nd son James who was my grandfather married Miss Francis Goff. William his 3rd son married a Miss Wiggins. Elizabeth the oldest daughter married Quiller Mathis or Matthews, Bashaby his 2nd daughter mrried William Mathis Moseley. Selia 5th daughter married Alex Berryhill. Peggy or Margaret married William Berryhill.

The children of James and Frances are named by their grandson in a little book in the following manner: " My grandfather's oldest son married Sarah Berry (some say Berryhill), John his second son married Miss Elizabeth Nail, William his 3rd son who was my father married a Miss Sarah Banks. Benjamin his 5th son married a Miss Mary Beesley; Wiley his 4th son married a Mrs. Delila Grodon. Charles his 6th son married Miss Jane Wilcher. Doctor his 7th son married a Miss Mary Anna Booty. those are the names of my uncles all sons of my grandfather James Weeks."

The James Weeks he speaks of who married Sarah Berry in this little book was born in Burke CO Ga. abt. 1789. He moved to Mississippi and was married there abt. 1818 or 1819. My great grandfather Elbert Marion Weeks was born in Pike County, MS 5 Aug 1825 to James and Sarah. They all eventually moved to Texas around 1836-1839. James Weeks is buried in Anderson County, TX. He died in 1860.

Phyllis Weeks Rogers

P. S. My brother's name coincidentally is James Weeks.
