Hi I am a Westbury like you and our family is based in New Zealand My dad is 80 years old his name is John Wilfred Westbury his brother is Arthur Guildford Westbury aged 82 and they had a sister Connie who has since passed away. My father who is John Wilfred Westbury known as Jack I am the oldest male child and I am now 48 I have a brother named Graeme Charles Westbury aged 47 and a full sister Katrina Fay Westbury aged 40 all to my mother Fay Doreen Westbury aged 74 now, I have a half sister and 2 half brothers same father different mother. Hannah Tovey had an illegitimate son William b1849 Bradfield. in 1851 he is living with her parents in Bradfield. As far as I am aware William westbury is not the father, he had a son William Frederick by his 1st wife Frances Eliza Newell.
Have several more bits of info if it is the Westbury side that you are interested in.

I know the family you are writing about. I recently bought William Westbury's Seniors Last Will and Testament. Places him having wife Elizabeth. All three children are illigitimate. Occupation: Billingsgate, London, England Victualers and Fish merchant. Poping down to London next week to have a dig around any records I can get hold of. Any tips welcome - will provide you with any leads I find?

William b.1824 in London, married Hannah Tovey b. 1828 in Bradfield nr Reading (Bradfield, Berkshire). The 1851 census shows both living in the home of Robt Richardson Dugdale at #12 Charing Cross, St Martin in the Fields, London. William is listed as a lodger, occupation Lithographic Printer. Hannah is listed as a domestic servant. William Frederick Westbury (aged 2)is listed as a nephew. William and Hannah married in 1851. Their children are listed as William Frederick 1848, William 1851, Maria 1854, Emily 1856, and Frances Annie 1864. I make their residences as:
1861 St Mary Aldermanbury Middlesex
1871 St Luke, London
1881 St Giles, Cripplegate Without, London
1891 St Botolph Aldersgate, London
I have searched in vain for Willia, 1824 parents. I speculate that William 1796 may be his father.
I place the Robt Richardson Dugdale family in Islington, London, in 1861.

Is anyone out there researching Westbury in London? The family I am looking for information on is Elizabeth Westbury b 1822 London William Westbury b 1824 London and Sarah Westbury b 1829 in London. These three siblings father was William Westbury I am unable to trace him, due to no age at death, I think he may have been christened at St Saviours Southwark London, in 1795. Just crossing paths re Westburys who married my maternal ancestors Cowley from Fairford. Ann was Anne Cowley and I can take you back on her line if interested.

I also have a copy of Anne's father Richard Cowley's will where John Westbury is mentioned.

Strangely I also have a James Westbury (35 in the Fairford 1871 census) who had a William Cowley (20 in census) staying with him. This William is my gg grandfather. William is listed in the census as 'brother' which must be to Ann (35 in census) making her another Ann Cowley of the same family marrying a Westbury.

Bertie Westbury b.Sept. 18, 1896 d. March 29, 1952. Married Loyless Limehouse Sr. b. March 6, 1891 d. Oct. 4, 1958.
They had one son Loyless Limehouse Jr. who married Stedtman Meyer Lotz. All are buried in Boone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, SC.
This is all the info I have on Bertie Westbury. She is my g-grandmother.
