I'm sorry but those names do not sound familiar to me. I know from my research I've done that there were quite a few Westleys in the Berks County area prior to 1840. You may want to look into Berks County Historical Societys site. good luck.

Looking for any information about the Westley family from Pa. Great Grandfather Charles Westley/Wesley ended up living in Altoona, Pa. In the 1860's he was living with who I think may have been his granfather, Andrew. They all state in the Census that they were born in PA. Andrew was born in about 1795. Charles was born in Jan of 1840 and died in 1923. His death cert states his parents names were James and Mary Bohammer. By the time Charles died, he spelled his last name Wesley. His daughter, my great grandmother was Kathryne Belle Wesley, and my grandfather was Wilbert Wesley Dingman. All the males on that side of the family still carry on Wesley as a middle name. William J Westley was my great grandfather on my maternal side b 23 May 1822.

My info was that he married Catharine Garner (b 8 Mar 1826) about 1847 (wild guess)! My grandmother (Gertrude Mae) was born to them in 1866. I understand the sibling are Charles, Mary Jane and Sarah but I haven't gotten verification for that other than I know there was a Charles born in 1865. I am also having a difficult time getting good information on either William or Catharine.

I hope this is still a good address and that you have learned more than I have.

Abt 1869, Luther b. Abt 1876, Heber b. Abt 1878, and Bentley b. Aug 1879. Bently was my great-Aunt's father, and married Priscilla Roberts b. Feb 1880. Bently died abt 1899 in Berks Co, PA.

BUT to help you a little, I found your Allison Westley on the 1870 & 1860 census. in 1870 he is listed as Alleen Westly in Robenson Twp. Berks Co. Pa.,,,,in 1860 he is in Cumru Twp as a apprentis as a Miller by trade, but goes as Harrison Westly he is 23 yrs,,Allison can be short for Harrison,,,,,But to my dismay I cannot locate him in the 1850 census,,,,But in the 1870 census, he resides near a Henry Westly & family, Henry is 27 yrs,,,,Allison (Alleen) is 32 yrs,,hope some of this helps, my email is hslj1952@yahoo.com if you wish to contact, I am looking up all my Lash's. Ralph Westley, 77, of Lakeside died Oct. 26. He was born in Portland, Ore., and was a retail clerk with Standard Brands. He served in the Navy during World War II. He is survived by a daughter, Laurel Westly of Portland, Ore. No services were planned. Arrangements: Humphrey Mortuary. Published in the San Diego Union-Tribune on 11/8/2003.

George Westley was a French Polisher by trade, born in Finsbury, London, about 1860. His wife Lucy was born in Faversham, Kent around 1863. Their children were George William Westley, born about 1895 in Bow, London, Frederick J born about 1898 in Bow, London and their daughter Lucy A S Westley born Leyton about 1895. It does not appear that George and Lucy were twins even though they appear on the face of it to be the same age in the 1901 census. I think it's more likely they happened to be born around opposite ends of the same year.

My great-grandfather was George Westley, a French Polisher by trade, who was born in the late 1890s and died in 1956. He married Rose Richards, a widow, whose maiden name was Wade. They had one son and about four daughters, Kathleen (1925 - 1983), Lilian (born 1926), Phyllis (died about 2000) and Doris (there may have been another daughter), and about 1940 Rose died of cancer. George later married Norah (surname unknown) and they had a daughter, Joyce, and a son, Peter.

I am trying to find the birth place/date of the above person (my great grandfather). I believe that he was born in or around Islington, London in about 1833.His parents were Thomas WESTLEY and Phoebe DAVIS who were married 23 January 1821 St Leonards Shoreditch, London and it is reputed that William Adolphus was the youngest of their children.

Kitty Lee was one of 16 children born to William and Virginia(Harris).Her father, William was from the Cherokee nation in Kentucky. Her mother was a mid-wife and was born and raised in Arkansas.

Kitty married Sam(?)Westley and they had 11 children: John, Abbott, Henry, Floyd, Benjamin, Leonard, Benny, Herbert(was killed in Waukegan,Illinois), Josie, Fayelee and Clara all of whom were born in Watson, Arkansas. Only Benny is still alive.

Kitty and Sam moved from Watson to Waukegan, Illinois and then moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1955.
