Warren Calhoun Whitehead Sr and Sarah Ann Sanders are my
great grandparents.

I think that his father was Tilman Whitehead, at least in the 1860 Census, Jackson Co, GA there is a Warren C. Whitehead age 9 in his household, The census transcription puts his name as Titmon, but I do believe that is a mistranscription.

Whats the chances of two Warren C Calhouns one born 1851 and the other 1849.

By the way I had his date of birth, originally as Jan 10, 1849. I suspect that the 1860 Jackson, Ga census is correct and that he was born 1851

Hi Angela...If possible, could you send me the packets
too regarding these Whiteheads....there is a possibility that
one of these names could be connected to my ggrandfather John L. Whitehead of Hopewell New Jersey. I just switched over to a new computer and my files haven't been transferred yet.
I have older files which are new to me and I don't recall the name of JOhn's father, but one or two of the names in another email sounded familiar. Once I read through these wills I should be able to find out if we are all in the same lines.
my email is moemaloney@verizon.net Thank you and I will be back to you with anything I discover.

I am looking for direct male descendants of Samuel Whitehead of the New Haven Colony who married Sarah Gregson and had a son also named Samuel. This Samuel came to America in 1637 on the ship HECTOR with the other future colonists of the New Haven Colony. Samuel didn't directly go to New Haven but first went to Cambridge, MA and Hartford, CT and he fought in the Pequot War. He did become a founder of New Haven though.

I am trying to ascertain his possible relationship to Isaac Whitehead I, my direct ancestor, also of the New Haven Colony.

I can tell you that I descend from the Chatham County NC Whiteheads. Now, which one I cannot say. When I had the YDNA done, there was definitely a direct connection to Josiah. Josiah had a will but did not mention a son named Thomas. If anyone knows about these Chatham County Whiteheads, I would love to have a hook up. Josiah's line went to Indiana. I am in contact with a descendant of Josiah through Josiah's son, Arthur. I am sure those in Chatham are related. It is mentioned that Josiah hails from Virgina. My Thomas Whitehead (1770-1860 NC to Carter County TN), who married Sarah UNKNOWN (1780 to bef 1860) (and it was NOT Kirk)and John (1783-1877 Blount Co TN), who married Hannah Rainbolt, are proven YDNA directly related.
