It appears that William is a common name among the Willows family :) My grandfather was also named William. He was born in Ontario, Canada and I believe his parents came from England. My uncle has a book about the Willows family, it is published by a small town where the Willows family seemed to have migrated to and passed on the properties through the generations. Looking for any information on Robert WILLOWS of Linton. He was born in the Linton area of Cambridgshire, abt 1690/1700. He married Hannah before 1725.
Their son Thomas was born 25 Jan 1727, in Hildersham. The family was back in Linton for the birth of their next child, Katherine, in 1730.
Thomas married Mary BALDWIN, 1752 in Linton.
Happy to share information on their descendents.

My ancestors, Thomas Willows and Maria Andrews & family came to NY from Lincolnshire, England in 1814. They settled close to NYC but left in 1820 due to wheat crop failure and were pioneers of Innisville, Ontario, Canada on the Mississippi Lake. I have a lot of info on the family since then but would very much like to find earlier history from England re their parents and siblings and ultimately their ancestors.

I found a Robert Willows b 1846-1847 Foston, Lincs who is the son of John Willows b abt 1800 Carlton, Lincs and wife Ann ? b abt 1801 Westboro, Lincs. The family is in Foston on 1861 census. Sounds like it could be your Robert.

I have been trying to unravel the Willows families in Foston related to Richard Willows b abt 1804 Foston, Lincs and Ruth Hindson b abt 1800 Foston, but it has been frustrating. I have a number of families and individuals, but do not know how they are related, yet. Please contact me if you are interested in these families.

Robert Willows, b. about 1847 in Foston, Lincolnshire, m. Sabina Housley, b. about 1848 in Bicker, Lincolnshire. They had at least three children:
Robert Willows, b. about 1875,
Annie Sabina Willows, b. about 1876,
and Florence E. Willows, b. about 1880.
In 1881 they lived in Mansfield, Nottingham.

Ella Virginia Willows, 81, of San Diego died Feb. 2. She was born in San Diego and was a nurse for Balboa Naval Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Condra of San Diego and Janis Barnes of Buffalo, N.Y.; sons, Matthew and Walter Willows of San Diego; sister, Louise Brown of Santee; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. I'm looking for info re: Charles Willows married Alice Brown and had at least 1 child (James b1866)
James married Mary Elizabeth Clarke (b1863). They had 5 children:
James William (b1888), married Mary Baines (b1889?)
Ada (b1899) (and twin Alice - died as a child)
Elsie (b1903)
Edward (b1900)
James and Mary arrived in Canada in 1911 in Wiinnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia around 1914.

Any information regarding this family or any assistance to locate more information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

My Great-grandfather was George Willows. b. Dec. 1869 in Canada. He was married to Phyllis Willows? b. Sept. 1880 in PA. They had 12 children: Leona, Olive, Joseph, Pearl, May, Alice, Cora Bel, Georga?, William?, Mable, James, and Thomas. In the 1900 census he was 40. He imm. from Canada to U.S. in 1874. He was a Coal Miner in Scranton, Osage CO. KS.

My part of the willows famly (I understand) was Imperial Loyalist and moved to Canada some time back. I know about a few on the Praries and perhaps Ontario, but would like to know if anyone has any history on this part of the family, perhaps to connect up with another? I am the last in my line - the only male out of grandchildren of Mildred Laurine Willows (Olmstead) and William Donald Willows.
