I AM NOT CERTAIN THAT YOU ARE SPEAKING OF THE SAME ARCHIE AND IRENE WILSON SO LET US ESTABLISH FIRST THAT MY STEP-GRANDFATHER RESIDED IN A PRESTIGIOUS HOME IN SPRING LAKE, MICHIGAN AND WAS ALSO A SNOWBIRD TO BRADENTON FLORIDA AND LIVED IN TRAILER ESTATES MOBILE HOME PARK. I AM BORN IN 1961 AND I AM AWARE OF ANYTHING AFTER THAT TIME. MY STEP-GRANDFATHER WAS ARCHIBALD PERCIVAL WILSON WHOM WAS ORIGINALLY FROM ENGLAND. HE HAD SONS ONE OF WHICH I REMEMBER WAS NAMED ARCH AFTER HIS FATHER AND LATER WAS TO LIVE IN ATLANTA, GA. MY MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER IRENE CHARLIEBELLE WILSON WAS THE MAIDEN NAME OF EVANS. SHE MARRIED MY MATERNAL GRANDFATHER HARRY ANTHONY COLLET AND THEY HAD 2 DAUGHTERS: YVONNE JEANNE COLLET (RADLEY--MARRIED TO J.M. RADLEY--- MY MOM AND DAD) AND SHIRLEY IRENE COLLET (KROPF FIRST HUSBAND/DECEASED AND THEN LATER TO EVERETT LEHMAN). HARRY AND IRENE GOT DIVORCED AND SHE LATER MARRIED ARCHIBALD (ARCHIE) WILSON THE OWNER TO A SHEET METAL COMPANY AND BUSINESS PARTNER TO THE HUSBAND OF IRENE'S 1/2 SISTER BEATRICE DICKSON BOSS (BUSINESS [PARTNER TO ARCHIE WAS JACK BOSS). IF THIS IS THE IRENE WHICH YOU HAVE NO INFORMATION ON AND HAVE A QUESTION MARK REGARDING HER FIRST NAME... I AM HER GRANDAUGHTER AND CAN PROBABLY GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED AND MORE INFORMATION ON ARCHIE AS I WAS QUITE IN HIS LIFE UNTIL THE DAY HE DIED! YOU MAY E-MAIL ME AT SHAMANCOLETTE@LIVE.COM (YES I AM ACTUALLY MARRIED TO AN APACHE/SIOUX AND HAVE NATIVE AMERICAN BLOOD FROM BOTH SIDES OF MY FAMILY AND AM DEFINATELY AN AUTHENTIC EAGLE MEDICINE WOMAN/SHAMAN AND A CHRISTIAN MINISTER AND YOU MAY ALSO FIND ME ON FACEBOOK UNDER: COLETTE MARIE RADLEY STORMHAWK (CELEB SITE) OR COLETTE RADLEY STORMHAWK WHICH IS A LITTLE MORE PRIVATE BUT NOT QUITE AS FUN). I HAVE A LOT OF WILSON FAMILY PICTURES IN MY POSSESSIONS/AND OF COURSE INCLUSIVE OF MY LOVELY GRANDMOTHER WHOM I LOOK QUITE A LOT LIKE. PEACE, JOY, LOVE AND PROPERITY... COLETTE STEP-GRANDAUGHTER TO ARCHIBALD PERCIVAL WILSON AND BIOLOGICAL GRANDAUGHTER TO HIS WIFE IRENE CHARLIEBELLE EVANS COLLET WILSON.

I am trying to locate information on the Wilson family in Alabama in the early 1800's. Their son, Thomas Eli was born in 1836 in Macon County, Alabama and he enlisted in the Confederacy in 1861 with Josiah Wilson. Sometimes names are passed down throughout the generations and your Eli Wilson may be the lead I need to connect my family back to another generation. Your posting was from 2001. Do you still have the records? I would greatly appreciate having a copy of it. My e-mail address is k.cullar@sbcglobal.net. Thank you so much, Kathy

Good Afternoon

Due to my medical problems, I was taken off the Goines Family Tree. As mentioned previously, I believe her name is Terry Goines. It is a public tree so you can go to it to see if you are connected. Last time I viewed her tree, she had nearly 5,000 names. Many of her entries are not substantiated by sources though. I am sorry that I cannot help you any further.

Re: Looking for Family

Yes; My Great-Grandmother's name was Lilla Nickels. She was born in Greenwood Florida in 1889 to Clarence and Parthenia Nickels. She married a man named Judge B. Grant, and they had four children together. Sometime before 1920, Judge Grant passed away, and Lilla was widowed. In 1920 she had the first of four children by the unknown man named Wilson. Her first Child was Marcus A. Wilson (deceased), Will Alex Wilson (deceased), my Grandfather Lee Tommy Wilson (Deceased approximately 2/16/1989) and according to the Census there was a Helen Wilson who no one in my family seems to know. After Lilla's death in 1933 (My Grandfather was 11 at the time) her children can be found living with their Grandmother Parthenia Nickels. My Grandfather later moved to Newark NJ around 1938.

According to my Grandmother, she and my Grandfather married in November of 1944. A month before the wedding he had to return to the South to bury his father. She does not recall his father's name or the location of the funeral service.

My Grandfather was married three times. None of his surviving offspring know their grandfather's name.

I am continuing on a seemingly fruitless search for Edward Cole Wilson, Jr from Goochland County Virgina, born in about 1901. He is my grandfather and seems to have dropped off the face of the earth after the birth of my father, Edward Cole Wilson, III in Nueces County, Texas in 1936. Any hints or tips would be awesome.....

I'm looking for my Great Grandfather. He fathered three sons in Greenwood Florida with a woman who was widowed with four children from her first marriage. She died in 1933 in a terrible accident. He is believed to have died in October of 1944. To my knowledge, his children did not reside with him after the death of their mother, but instead resided with their maternal grandmother who was also from Greenwood Florida, in Jackson County.

Mary Ann Wilson and John Guerin Ovid, NY

All,

My gggrandmother was Mary Ann Wilson, born in Tompkins county in 1826-27. She married John Guerin, b. 1824, in about 1846 and they had their first child Jay Bradley in Steuben county in 1847 and a third son Barnum Dunlap Guerin in Ovid.

John Guerin grew up in Varick/Romulus with his father Jonas and mother Nancy Ehle who lived near a David Wilson in the 1820 census (the names were less than a page apart) and later maps show David still nearby.

The 1853 map of Hector, Tompkins, NY shows a J. and D. Wilson living across the road from each other. Since Mary Ann is from Tompkins, I'm leaning toward these guys as direct ancestors.

The run of similar names in Josephs and David's family to that of my family in that time period: Ann, Anna, Mary, Joseph, David, Dunlap, seems more than coincidental.

My Guerin line stems from the Huguenots who came to South Carolina in the 1690's See Denise Rice Guerin and Elsie Wilson Hickey for details as well as my family tree site on http://www.myheritage.com/site-family-tree-125701481/ogre-tr...

Lastly, consistent with other locals, a good chunk of the Guerin clan along with Covert's moved to Michigan near Ann Arbor in the mid 1830's when MI became a state. John and Mary got a civil war land grant in upstate Wisconsin where my immediate roots are.

Anyway, sorry to go on but I'd love to know if I'm on the correct track. I've reached out to find a marriage certificate,or other news but have been a total armchair/keyboard researcher so far. I live about 4 hours from Ovid in the mid-Hudson Valley and hope to get up there this summer.

Thanks in advance for any information, maybe I'll hit the jackpot!

Scott Guerin
wsguerin@webjogger.net
c 845 443 3131

I'm seeking descendants of my great grandparents, Harrison Wilson Williford and Alice May Wilson from Saline and Gallatin County Illinois. I have several generations on the Wilson side but sketchy info on Williford. Believe Willifords are orig from NC but no solid line established yet. Wilsons orig from Armstrong Co Pennsylvania (father John mother Jane Christy, his father Robert, wife Elenor Hilbert from Beaver and Alleghany Counties also in Penn.)
Have lost touch w/everyone in Harrisburg IL over the years and would love to reconnect w/any long lost cousins or anyone in PA.

George W. and Mary (Forner) Wilson - both born circa 1826/7, PA

I am trying to find information on the Wilson Family of Bedford, PA, circa 1855.
The earliest information I have is for Mary A. Wilson born circa 1826, on the 1870 census in Bedford Twp. with sons Jacob 17, and Joseph 14.
Son Joseph B (b. Sept 12 1855) goes on to marry Susan Harriette Hinish in 1884. They are easily located in the census for Bedford County - they had 8 children, of whom I have 7: Girtie, Ida, Harry, Stella, George David, Elmer R, Lloyd A.
In Joseph’s obituary, his parents are listed as George and Mary Ann (Forner) Wilson. His obit says that he was born in Buffalo Mills, PA.
My friends descends from George David (born 9-20-1895), who married Stella Mae Smith in 1922.
I have been trying to find my oldest link, George and Mary Ann Wilson, on the 1860 census, but have had no luck. Both boys should be on the census, and I have tried every name angle.
Later census reports do show that Joseph, Jacob and their father AND mother were all born in PA, so census records back to 1850 and 1860 ought to exist for George as he was not born abroad. I do suspect George died in the Civil War, but have yet to confirm his service. I cannot find information for Mary after 1880.
I am hoping to find parents for George and Mary Ann, and extended families. Contact me via ancestry or at waugerman@att.blackberry.net.
