T. H. and Maxine are pictured in the 1937 Talon, yearbook of Eldorado High School in Eldorado, Texas. He is on the school board and she is a senior. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching the family.

It has been some time since this post, but I thought that I would comment. I am also the great great granddaughter of Edward. I know that his father's name was Samuel but I do not know Edward's mother's name, nor anything about his grandparents. How is Charles related to Edward?

Although it's been awhile since the last post, thought I'd comment. I am also a great great granddaughter of Edward Wilton. While I do know that his father's name was Samuel, I do not know the name of Edward's mother nor anything else about Samuel's family. How is Charles related to Samuel?

Married at Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, 26 Oct 1789. Believe they had son Michael baptized St Mary the Virgin, Harefield Hillingdon 8 Feb 1795, who died shortly after. 2nd son Michael, baptized also St Mary the Virgin 4 Dec 1796, who I believe married Rebecca Elliott. Elizabeth and Thomas possibly had daughter Elizabeth Mary, who married William Sinton at St George Bloomsbury 17 Sep 1820, witnessed by Michael Montague & Rebecca Elliott.

Does anyone recognize this family, who can provide more on Elizabeth and Thomas's ancestry?

Hi my friend. I don't know who you are but Abel Wilton is also my Great Great Great Grandfather.
His son was John Wilton who married frances williams.One of their sons was Thomas Fishpool Wilton who married Catherine McCagh (his second marriage).
They had a son Michael Able Wilton ( my grandafather). He had a son Thomas alfred Wilton, and he is my father. I'm Kieth Michael Wilton living in Geraldton Western Australia.

Began this tree many years ago, still not finding Wilton line who include my ancestors. Have copy of 1871 UK census showing who I believe to be my great grandfather Charles William Wilton, say born Bromham, Wiltshire, England 13 Mar 1862. Shows his father as William Wilton born 1814 and mother Jane born 1831...having a son Elijah Charles Wilton, my grandfather born to Charles & a Martha Price after Charles immigrated to US in 1881, followed a year or so later by Jane Wilton and a half brother George White/Whyte. 1900 or 1910 US census showing all living in same household Clearfield, PA. Also Charles had a daughter Emily Jane born Sep 1988. Elijah married a Molly Bell Bess Filler born in Pa 15 Nov 1886....PLEASE if anyone has any further information on Charles, William, Jane, Emily or Elijah Wilton or Martha Price or Molly Bell Bess Filler or George White/Whyte I would appreciate any bit of information you can help me with......Thank you very much

I suggest you check the last few US censuses. It's sometimes amazing what information can be had from them. Good luck!.BTW,for the most part, we are British Wiltons from around Deptford Kent.

All I know about my granddad was that he married my grandmother and his and her families disowned them then. Her name was Mae green and I think she was born in NY. He died of cancer in 1966 and she died of a stroke in 1988. They had two Girls. Bernice and Gloria,

Lamancha Delton Wilton b. April 6, 1870 in North Carolina d. after April 1940, probably in Roanoke, VA. Married Evelyn (last name starts with a C.)about 1894. Her birth year varies from census to census: 1866 to 1875. She and both parents born in Virginia. Lamancha and Evelyn had no children.

George Washington "G.W." Wilton b. January 1842, North Carolina d. May 12, 1917 Pender County, NC. Married Huldah Orr b. Nov 10, 1849 d. Jan 14, 1932. Their children: Lamancha, Mary Irene (1872-1951); George Bertie (1874-1883); and Minnie (1878-1954).

W. R. Orr, no dates, born in NC and died before 1860. Married Sarah Rowe, b. about 1805 in NC, died 1863 in NC. Children: George Washington Wilton; Caroline V. b. about 1845; and Robert T. D. born about 1851.

Hi my name is Joanne Reive and I am the gr., gr. granddaughter of William and Jane. Everything I have ever found or heard that Isabella had changed her name from Sybil. I have never heard of her having a twin brother. But she was born in Bruton, England Apr. 19, 1826 to William and Jane. I also have a copy of their marriage certifcate.
Was your Isabella married to John Whitsell? I have been looking for her sister Hannah who it seems was left in England when they came to Canada in 1834

It was with great interest that I read information on my Great Grandfather William Walton but unfortunately some of the info was incorrect. After contacting his last remaining Grandaughter I can now acurately say that yes, he did perish & was never found from the Titanic. He was a trimmer not an engineer trimmers are unskilled. He married Elizabeth Jefferies & together they had 5 children. The youngest a son Arthur, then a daughter Lily (my Gran), then 3 older girls Anne, Grace & Nell, they lived first at 49 Quenns Road, then moved on to Lime Street.
I hope this has helped piece the picture together, I now wonder if any of the "posts" could be relatives of mine.

My grandfather was George Wilton. He passed away in 1966 from lung cancer. He had 2 daughters Bernice Mae (my mother) and Gloria Jean. Mae his wife passed away june 27th of 1988 at the age of 79. Their 2 daughters are still alive. Bernice is 82 and Gloria is 76. If I can help you with any more information just let me know. On the side of George and Mae's family we actually know VERY little because they we disowned by their families when they married.

Henry Wilton was born in Barnet, Herts in 1888. His sister Annie Elizabeth Wilton was my maternal grandmother.

The 1911 Census shows him as living in Barnet with his parents and working at WH Smith

He married Gertrude Emily Turner b1895 in Barton upon Irwell, Lancs in 1918 and I believe they had a son Harry Kenneth J Wilton in 1921 in Barton upon Irwell. It then appears that they separated and Gertrude went to live in Apers Avenue Westfield Surrey (this is taken from my grandmother's 1962 address book.

Harry Kenneth J Wilton may have married a Muriel Anson in 1953 in Middleton, Lancs but there the trail dries up although 2 children were born to a mother maiden name Anson -Hazel and Leith Wilton.

Censuses show he was born about 1793 in England.
Tax records show he was in Wrightsville about 1818.
Censuses from 1820 - 1860 show him in Hellam twp in York co Pa.

I would like information on where he is buried. And if there is a readable tombstone, what birth date, age, or other info it gives.

Also, I am looking for who his wife was.

Charles Wesley WILTON, 1843-1924

Would like to make contact with a descendant of CHARLES W WILTON, b 1843 in Clinton co Illinois; moved to Willow Springs Mo in the mid-1880s; died 1924 in Blytheville, Arkansas at the home of his daughter, Mary (Mrs Wyatt) Henley, buried in Willow Springs, Missouri.

Charles and his wife, Lucinda Emma Watts, had 2 children who survived to adulthood. They are:

1) (JASON) NOLAN WILTON, 1878-1956. Nolan had 1 daughter who survived to adulthood, WINIFRED WILTON WEISS, 1905-1980. She is known to have been in Dallas Tx in 1955 and died there in 1980. Her huband's name and names of any children are unknown.

2) MARY WINNIE WILTON, 1870-1959. She was married to WYATT HENLEY, they lived in Blytheville, Mississippi co, Arkansas. They had one daughter JOYCE HENLEY, b abt 1915, who possibly was adopted. Whether Joyce married and had children is unknown.
Mary may have been married to a MR SAMPSON before she married Wyatt Henley.

Thank you for any help you can give me in finding living descendants of CHARLES WILTON (1843-1924).

I'm not sure. The story is after my great-great grandma died, my great grandfather was sent to live with a family in South Mountain, Ontario. His father and older brother left for the gold fields in Alaska. Don't know if they made it that far because no one ever heard from them again. I'm sort of at a deadend with that line of the family.

Your Wiltons are my Wiltons. My William was born in 1870, and given that his father (also William) was an engineer I wondered if he had followed in the trade.

I'm also working on William senior and hiw wives - family gossip was that he had 3 wives but I can only identify two - Elizabeth and Maria. Any clues?

The book "Wiltons Galore" compiled by Jo Wilton ISBN: 978-0-473-11318-6 gives details of this family their descendants and ancestors and history as we know it. This book was published by members of the family and sold around 900 copies and there are copies held at the National Library of New Zealand, New Zealand Society of Genealogists and the Wairarapa Archives in Masterton, New Zealand. There are no more copies available. I can however answer queries.

Yes, Sadie Loreta and Zelda May Wilton both married Kennedy brothers. Sadie married Leroy and Zelda May married Curties Mearle Kennedy. I have no children for Zelda and Curtis, but I have Darlene Fay and Lee Ray (wondering is this should be Leroy Jr.) as children for Sadie & Leroy. Also thinking there are living children that may not be showing up in a search.

I have info that tells me that Henry was son of John Hodge and Ann nee Bodilly, he came to Australia with father John stepmother Catherine Sellars in 1853 abroad the Mary Green vessel.

Other than the arrival and marriage I dont seem to be having much luck! All help welcome.

I have been researching family for a few years now..have abt. 2500 in tree but when it come to fathers line...Wilton from England afraid I have had little or no luck..believe GGrandfather to be a Charles William Wilton b. 1862 Eng - d. 1927...think married to a Martha Price (also no info on her) b.1858 - d. 1900....children Elijah Charles Wilton b. 1883 my grandfather...Emily Jane 1888...Byron 1891...Helen 1895...information seems Charles immigrated to US abt 1888...followed in 1891 by who looks to be his mother Jane? and possibly a half brother George White, all three living in same household around 1900 in Pennsylvania...had world membership for a bit but not finding what I needed I cancelled it. Found Jane ? married to a William Wilton but have no date or locations....was very new at the time and had not saved sources....still not certain what I am doing there...Anyone having any information on this Wilton line I would appreciate your help.

Martha WILTON, christened May 1763 in St Andrew parish, Stapleford, Cambridgeshire, England;

James MOORE, christened 13 Jan 1763 in Great Shelford parish, Cambridgeshire, England;

James and Martha were married 17 Nov 1791 at St Andrew church, Stapleford, Cambridgeshire, England.
They are said to have had one daughter named Maria, possibly/probably other children.

Martha WILTON was a sister to my 2gt grandfather, Henry WILTON (b 1769) who immigrated to the US shortly before 1800.

I would like to find more on Martha's descendants, and if possible, make contact with a living descendant.

Eight years later I have quite a bit of information about her including and some about her father and mother, Joseph B Wilton (I believe) and her mother Harriet Baldwin Wilton ( The surname Tite figures in there somewhere I believe) I have not had my genealogy out for quite some time and am depending on my memory (not so good...)If you have any information about the Wiltons, Baldwins or Tites it would be GREATLY appreciated

According to my research with the Wilton Family Tree, Myrl M. Gibson, the third child of John K. Gibson and Sarah Frances Wilton, was born 17 Sept 1896 in Texas and died 1988 in Shamrock, Texas. If this information is correct, that would make her age about 92. My information is very sketchy and that is all I have about her.

I bought this photo which was identified Beatrice Wilton who married Arthur Lee.

I believe this is Beatrice Wilton, the daughter of Charles and Clara who lived in
Chesterfield, Macoupin County, IL in the 1900 Census along with sibling Myron, age 7/12.
Charles, her father, was a grain dealer born in England in Nov 1859. Her Mother Clara V.
was born January 1870 in IL.

A Clara Virginia Duckels married Charles Wilton according to the IL State Archives.

Unfortunately not. The Wilton name is fairly widespread in the UK, and Solomon could really be from anywhere. Given the choice of Wiltshire or Yorkshire I'd go for Wiltshire (based on his first name, uncommon in Yorkshire and suitable locational surname), but can't add much else.

My great great grandfather, Solomon Wilton is listed on a census in Cheadle Parish, Bulkey. In family history, it is said that he was perhaps a "black sheep" or a "privateer," from England. In "Families of the South Arm of Bonne Bay" Solomon Wilton (b. 1820 England-1897 Woody Point), is described as coming from Rose Blanche, Newfoundland in 1858, "believed to have been a native of Yorkshire or Wiltshire England, having come to the Island (Newfoundland) prior to 1845. That is far as I can ever get on Solomon. Is he perhaps part of your family? Thanks, Eileen

Solomon Wilton is the farthest "back" that I go in my family tree. I have his date of death as 4-19-1897 in Woody Point, and I believe an 1850 census showing him as an agricultural laborer in Cheadle Parish, Bulkely. Have you found any more about his parents? He married Rachel Parsons in 1844 according to the Osmond book, which has most of the rest of my mother's family with a few errors according to her. yelir9@aol.com
