Daughter of John Grey, she married Francis David Wiltshire in 1922, though they later split in the 1940s. Ethel had a number of children: Iris, Kathleen, Olive and Derek (who died in 2000).Ethel lived in south-west London for at least some of her life.

I have access to an old marriage document of an ancestor William Wiltshire marrying a Martha Dando on 17 May 1814 in Winterbourne, Gloucestershire. They may have had a son called George who married a Maryann Luton and a daughter Eliza who married George Humphrey Bryant in Bristol in 1840.
Do any of these names mean anything to anyone?

Cheers
Kim

My great-great-great grandfather was George Wiltshire (born 07.02.1812) married to Tryphena and lived near Calne. He was a market gardener with 4 acres. His parents were William Wiltshire (born 20.04.1765) and Martha Marsham (born 16.03.1779). They were married 04.10.1802. George had 10 siblings: Myra (1803), Henry(1805), David(1807)-died 7 yrs old, Eleazer(1810), Josiah(1813), David(1815), Nathan(1817), Gideon(1820), Levi(1822) & Simeon(1824). Can anyone help me to find William's parents and siblings? I have some information on branches from William, though I haven't seen any links with current postings at the moment.
Cheers, Martin.

Greetings all!

I am trying to find information regarding Sarah "Sally" Wiltshire, born cir. 1822 who married Madison Fletcher in Orange County on Dec. 9, 1844 according to their marriage bond. They both appear in the 1850 and 1860 Census, but Madison died as a Confederate soldier and Sally (and children) moved to Spotsylvania County between the 1860 and 1870 census. If anyone has any info re: Sally, or possible leads to a link, I would be very grateful. I am happy to share what I have, but I have little else that is conclusive at this point beyond the info listed above.

Blessings,

Greg

Stephen Wiltshire was my husbands' Great grandfathers' stepfather. He
married Julia Inwood in 1876 in Lambeth, London( I think) He is mentioned in
the 1881 census living at 67 Rupert Road Islington , London, With his Wife
and Daughters, Anne Aged 5
and Priscilla aged * months. Our GGrandad, Thomas William was aged 10 then,
also living there were his brother, John H Inwood and sister Anne E Inwood
aged 13 and 14 years respectively. Do any of these names mean anything to anybody.

Wiltshires of Bristol, UK

Would anyone have any information to share regarding the Wiltshire Family of Bristol, Gloucester, UK? I am stuck at my great-great grandparents, William CD Wiltshire (b: 1857, Bristol) and Emma(b.1855,Bristol, maiden name unknown). I don't have a date of marriage. Their children: William GP, Emma, Lily, John, Alice, Florence and George. William GP is my great grandfather who, with his wife Mercy and their children, emmigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1912. I don't think William CD and Emma left England. Some of the children went to the US. I also have a printout of a page from a Ship's Passenger list from the SS Canada which arrived in Montreal, Canada at Grosse Isle on June 24, 1912. It contains the names of three families: Esaulaw, Phipot and Stevens. If those names are of any interest, please feel free to email me at: darlindebid@hotmail.com Thanks!

William Wiltshire and his wife Maryann nee Savill were living at Knowle Green at the time of the 1881 Census. They married on August 14th 1866 in Wendens Ambo, Essex. William's father according to the marriage certificate was George Wiltshire, stonemason. William was also a stonemason, it appears by the mixed birthpaces of his children that the family moved frequently.

I'd like to know if any descendants of the children are out there. They included:
Alfred William b c1867 Ollerton, Nots m Alice Duntze
Aida b c1869 Dunster Somerset m William Betts
Elizabeth b c 1871 Cambridge m Frederick Moden
Florence b c 1874 Cambridge
Frank b 1877 Blunham Beds m Elizabeth Rickus
Nelly b c 1879 Arlesey Beds

Frank migrated to South Africa for around 13 years then to Tasmania, Australia in the early 1920s.
Many thanks
Kim in Tasmania

Sarah Ann Wiltshire b Clifton[Bristol], Gloucestshire 1857/59?

If you think you may be related to Sarah Ann Wiltshire I would love to hear from you. She was married to William Henry Mitchell, March 1874 in Bristol and they had four children: Florence b: 1875; Elizabeth b: 1878; Ada b: 1880; fourth daughter unknown. William died, 1883 ?, as the result of a carriage accident and Sarah re-married to Capt. Walsh and had two sons: Thomas Edward b: 1887 and Reginald b: 1892. I know very little about Sarah's family and some of the above info may be off a bit. Family lore has it that Sarah had 3 sisters and that Sarah ran off with William who was a suitor not socialably acceptable to her father. I do know that daughters Florence married George Thomas Burley and that Elizabeth married Joseph Williams. Apparently a sister of Sarah's married and moved to South Africa.
Should any of this information seem to connect to your tree I would love to hear from you.....Julia

Elizabeth Wiltshire m Herbert Osborne, Staines England 1899

Herbert Osborne born c1868 married Elizabeth Selina Wiltshire born c1872 on 20th September 1899 in Staines. The groom’s address was 78 Edgell Road, Staines and the bride’s Guildford Street, Staines. Herbert was described as a manager. Witnesses to the wedding were the bride’s brother and sister, Nellie and Alfred William Wiltshire. According to the 1901 Census it looks as though they were still living in Staines and had a 2 month year old daughter by the name of Doris. Can anyone help with the names of other children or even better is there a descendant of the family out there?
Many thanks
Kim in Tasmania

I have just started to investigate my family tree and would be very interested to hear from anyone that has information on the Wiltshire family based in the Wells/Wookey/Castle areas of Somerset. Herbert Wiltshire married Kate Florence Wills and were known to live in a cottage on the Somerleaze estate when my grandfather Percy was born. I would also be interested in any information on Charlie Hales and his brother in law George Loxton both also coming from the Somerset area. Thank you

Benjamin or William Wiltshire

Benjamin the first is the power of attourney in 1803 and the oldest of six brothers named Wilson, Weedon, Alfred, Peyton, William Jr., Joseph, and John. There are also four sisters Catherine, Eiizabeth, Nancy and Sarah. They were all the son of William Wiltshire. We have the line of Benjamin leading to present but still seeking information on William who apparently died sometime around 1803. We will be searching the records in the Virginia counties of Orange, spotsylvania and Falkier co. We discovered the error's in spelling the name WILTSHIRE ( Wilcher etc..) were due to census takers that would spell names as they are pronounced ( basically the same as today). If anyone can help with our pursuit please email me at pwiltsh@intrepid.net
