I'm looking for descendants of Donald and Mary Wong. Donald was born in Chicago, IL the son of Sam Wong and Chen Fook Len. He had several sisters, Dorothy, Daisy, Frieda, Edith and Ruth. Dorothy is my stepfather's mother. She died when he was only 16 and he has little to no information about her family. I'm hoping to contact with someone from his family who may be able to fill in some of his family tree.

Dorothy Wong married Allen R. Shieu in Chicago, IL they had 4 children: Mari Ann, Dorothy, Ronald and Louise. All are deceased except for my Dad, Ron.

Dorothy was listed on the 1910 Census as Dora. She is the daughter of Sam Wong and Chen Fook Lin. Other siblings besides Edith and Ruth are Donald Wong, Daisy Wong, and Frieda Wong.

Im searching for a business during the late 40's in Savannah, GA. The business was named "Ding Wong Trading Company" or similar. Also, Ding had a brother in D.C. with a Chinese Restaurant (Sing Wong). Please let me you know any information on these businesses. Supposely, Ding's business was near a trading post in Savannah. Hi I read your post on your long lost step brother. Im not sure if you were able to locate him. I hope so. Im searching for any information on my biological grandfather named Ding Wong. He was in the export business in Savannah, ga. Also, his brother was Sing Wong. Sing had a chinese restaurant in D.C. in 1949. Let me know if you might have any knowledge of them. Thank you.

I family name is Chen and I've been told that they were from the Guandong province as well. My great grandfather came to Jamaica in either the late 1800's or early 1900's. My grandfather lived in the St. Elizabeth parish in Jamaica.

Hi - Interetsed to see whether you have found out the origins of Albert Lee Wong. Are there any Chinese Characters on his headstone to indicate which village he came from?

Our relative was Chan Kewl Ying 陳橋英 Pilot Officer WILLIE LEE 416123, Royal New Zealand Air Force. He was born in 1914 the fifth son of Chan Ming Fun, aka Ching Shing Lee, of Hargee Village.

Biographical Notes:

My great grandmother was Olga Wong Sorenson, father John O. Wong (Wang) and Andrea Hagen. I attended a family reunion in Saskatchewan as a child (1986 or so)and saw what I believe was a homestead - I thought of John and Andrea Wong, but not sure. My grandmother's Aunt Linda was there (Olga's sister) and was in her 90's, I believe at the time. From what I can tell John and Andrea's children, or most of them, were born in NW Minnesota but some ended up in Canada. Just looking for some Canadian relatives to help fill in the blanks.

Hi,I live in Fiji.I am looking for my father.My father met my mother in a small island - Levuka,Fiji between 1977-1980 on one of his trip.All I ever knew of him was he was called "Wong" but i am not sure if this is surname or his first name.He is a taiwanese.
My mother did not want to return with my father after I was born.
I last saw my father when I was about 7/8 years old.I later found out that his fishing vessel was no longer visiting the Fiji waters.
I am 32 years old now and would really love to know my father and my family.

Hi my name is Florina and I am looking for information on my Grandmother's family. She has health problems and memory is not so good. Her name is Felila Luisa Bourne, maiden name Wong. Her mother's name was Tapu Wong (don't know maiden name yet) and her father was Chinkau Wong. She had a brother named Ioane Wong, his matai name was Maluseu. Tapu Wong's brother was also a matai in Vaiusu or Lalovava. Not sure what his birth name was yet, his matai name was Tolai Ulugia.

I'm very sorry that I don't have the information that you need but I am looking for relatives of the Wong Family. My great grandfather was Hang Wong. He was born in San Francisco about 1878. I'm not sure when he came to Augusta,Ga but i know that he also had two or three brothers and a sister. Two of his brothers were named Wing Wong and Way or Woey Wong. Hang was my paternal grandmother's father by an African-American woman. I think that her name was Leola Gaines. They were in the grocery or laundry business. If you find anyone that knows any of those people would you please let me know. Also, if I learn anything that might be of interest to you in the course of my search, I would be pleased to share it with you. I have been lokking for the Wongs for a long time.

I am trying to search for my father's relatives from Shanghai, China. My father's name is WONG KANG LUI, he was born on the 5th day of the 5th month in 1920. I know very little about his family. I think they are about seven (7) or eight (8) brothers and sisters in the family. He migrated to the Philippines sometime before World War II and became a USAFFE guerilla volunteer in 1942 to 1945, but he was not a recognized guerilla so never received any pension until he died in April 6, 2002 at the age of about 82 or 83 years old. I have some pictures of his elder brother with wife and a brother. I don't know where to start looking for his relatives. I am his eldest daughter, I am now 54 years old, single and living alone. If anyone recognizes this short story, please contact me at my email address at wongadw999@yahoo.com and I can email back his brothers' pictures and some letters they wrote sometime between 1985 to 1989.

Anna Wong / Wongs of Baoding

I am looking for my Anna Wong Munkberg's nephew and any information on the Wong family in Baoding prior to / during WWII. Anna is my grandmother.

Anna's nephew contacted her in the late 1980's after immigrating to the US. He was living in Hattiesburg, MS. The two names I have, from different notes, are Jian Xiaoning and Jian Wei.

On her immigration papers, her father is listed as Charlie Wang and her mother Mary Chen. I know that she only took on the name of Anna when she worked for American organizations during the war. I do not know her original name nor do I know how accurate her parents' listed names are. Anna left China in the spring of 1948 and never had any contact with her family until her nephew.

Her family lived in Baoding. Her father owned a munitions factory. She had several brothers, many who died in the war and one sister. She attended Bridgeman Girls school in Beijing until they closed the school due to pending invasion. She returned home for a short while until her hometown was also taken.

I would love to hear from anyone who knows of her family or has suggestions on where to look for information.

these Chinese men came to Samoa as indentured workers, and were all suddenly deported in the 1930s. I heard they came from the Sei Yip area on Canton, China. If his name was Wong, then probably Sun Woi district.

The Department of Defense announced today the Feb. 9 death of two soldiers in Sinjar, Iraq, who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom when a collection of unexploded ordnance, rocket-propelled grenades and mortar rounds detonated while being moved to a demolition point. Killed were:

Sgt. Elijah Tai Wah Wong, 42, of Mesa, Ariz. Wong was assigned to the 363rd Explosive Ordnance Company, Army National Guard, Casa Grande, Ariz.

The pilot of that B-17 was Richard S. F. WONG, 2LT, United States Army Air Corps. His next of kin is listed as Mrs. Hilda L. H. Wong, Wife, 1038 East 7th Street, Long Beach, California. I am attempting to find family members of Dr and Mrs Wong. During the late 1940's, he was a leading urologist in (Peking)Beijing and his wife was a director of nurses at the 912 Army Hospital in (Peking)Beijing.
