Worcester -- On Thursday, August 29, 1929 at 8:10 p.m. Edward Worcester, aged 74 years. Funeral services at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph W. Kennedy, 6401 Darlington rd., Sunday afternoon, September 1 at 3 o'clock. Interment private.

Forgive me for not seeing this for a month. It's a bit obscured from the home page. It's exciting to find family on here. I didn't expect that, but it's great!
I would like to talk in person. I don't have many pics of Ray and Lillie, and none of their kids. But lots of pictures from the 50s and 60s.
My dad was close to Dan. I never met Charles but talked with his daughter, Darliene, not long ago.

I've had another look at that website and you're right: it doesn't provide those particular details. I'll paste in below some relevant excerpts from different parts of the website. William could have married in Olney or earlier - Rugby? Cambridge? - but the children mostly appear to have been born in Olney. Sarah's surname is just shown as _____ and she died in 1650, Rev. William re-married just 3 months later. His father's will written 5 or 6 years after Rev. William had settled in America mentions William but not the wife. William's own will mentions his sons and refers to their inheriting "after their mothers death or day of mariage wch first happens". Sarah was certainly their mother but she'd died 12 years earlier - but again no details about his wife.

(Sarah [ie junior] may, in fact, have been born in Salisbury.) ... matriculated at Cambridge University in 1620 ... Vicar of Olney ... between 1624 to 1636, suspended ... 1636, and subsequently emigrated to New England in 1638 or 1639.
He married 1st, Sarah _____, b in England, d in Salisbury, Apr. 23, 1650; m 2d July 23, 1650, Mrs Rebecca Hall, d in Ipswich, Mass., Feb. 21, 1695, ag. 78. (Rebecca had been twice married before she became the consort of Wm. Worcester: 1st to Henry Bylie; 2d, Apr. 3, 1641, to John Hall. She married for a fourth husband, Samuel Symonds, Deputy Governor of the Colony.)

EXTRACT FROM Will of Joseph Worcester of Rugby – 1644/5:
"The tenth daie of Februarie Anno Dom 1644 … And first I give and bequeth unto my eldest sonne William Worcester twelve pence of lawfull English money. And likewise to my sonne Joseph Worcester twelve pence of like lawfull money. Item I give unto my daughter Anne French twelve pence Item I give unto my daughter Alice Cave twelve pence. Item I give to my daughter Susanna Mason twelve pence."

TIMOTHY WORCESTER:
b Salisbury, Mass., May 14, 1642, d 1672, m Susannah . His widow married Oct. 24, 1672, Henry Ambrose, a weaver. Timothy was known to be a mariner or seaman. In March 12, 1666-7, he and his brother Moses split house and land given to them by their father through will.

EXTRACT FROM Will of William Worcester of Salisbury - 1662:

I hope you check carefully the excellent and corrected information at www.worcesterfamily.com - it's an excellent website although many of its features need some updating. However, thanks to diligent research, It's now been conclusively shown which William Worcester the Americam Worcester progenitor was (from Rugby and Northamptonshire - and not from Cheddington. So many American researchers are still making assumptions about discredited research from early in the 20th Century.

William Worcester (b? - d 28 Oct 1662 in Salisbury, Essex, MA) married before 1630 in England to Sarah _____. Sarah died 23 Apr 1650 in Salisbury, Essex, MA.

Timothy Worcester ( b 14 May 1642 Salisbury, Essex, MA – d 1672) married Susanna _____ abt 1666. Susanna married 2nd Henry Ambrose abt Oct 1672 in Salisbury, MA. Susanna died 22 Dec 1730 in Salisbury, Essex, MA.

I’m descended through Timothy & Susanna’s daughter Sarah who married Benjamin Sanborn abt 1689 and lived in Hampton Falls, Rockingham, NH.

the ancestry of Jude we may never be able to uncover.
but naming traditions and some oral history we do have.
this living relative as it was told to below is still living 2008

told a living family member that Jude Norrard was an Indian Princess. of course it was told and passed down perhaps
at first as a hushed truth..given the times. but
that time has passed and i do believe myself that
it is the truth. I think by the time these family members
Alden being a GG grandson of Jude] who
told of Jude being an Indian would no longer
have any reason to cover it up.
Generally things passed down in the family as oral
can tend to get grander as time passes. maybe she was just a plain Indian girl and she became a Princess to ease
the thought of it for some. But maybe she was a Princess!
we cant say what we dont know,and we pass on what we do know
and there is usually a grain of truth in the pearl.

Ronie was correct about the Indians disowning her
given the times. i'd like to think someone of the Indians
still may know of it, or that there might someday
out of the attic come a paper lost long ago..

[ i suppose if we had a matrelineal living person in the line we could do a mitocondrial DNA to find if there
was indian blood, i hadnt really thought about it.]

I believe that Moses first wife was named Jude Norard as several generations have give the name Jude Norard to their children. I also believe that she could of been a native american and all records will not be accessable to us as once a native american leaves their tribe they are lost from the records. Several folks have some what proof that their ancestors through Jude Norard was Micmac. It is an on going research with all of our families wanting to find out. We may never know for sure.

I have a pile of letters that were written to my grandmother (emily may davis philbrick) Unfortunately I do not know what side of the family they come from but the writter (Ruth Worcester) mentions a funeral of her uncle Alfred. For Aunt Lizzies sake they stayed in a back room while attending the funeral.
All the below info was put together by bits & pieces with 6 notes. If any of this info make any sense, Kindly let me know.

Ruth Worcester(The writer):
sister -Alice & her husband lives in Ottawa,Canada.

sister-Barbara 1976 Barbara had back problems was in RESERVOIR NURSING HOME WALTHAM, MA

Jerry (Female) has 2 children- both boys,she lives in "our" old house & about to move to Rockport,Mass became a grandmother,boy,born to her 2nd son Teddy in Oct

Jerrie's oldest boy had polio but recovered

Ruth lives with her brothers family-Betty & Louis,children little Joe, Bec, Marcia (went to Simmons College-nurse)
Rebecca's daughter,went to Dartmouth college

her sister in law (betty) died in rockport july 31 1976
Ruth's Daddy was honored with a plaque at Harvard Stadium as a consultant in engineering the stadium.

Where is Moses buried?

I know we dont know where Jude is buried.

I am also seeking a family
cemetery that is located on that then property
on the river.. 200 acres Kittery/Berwick ME

Correction...In 1982 a grand-daughter of Marsina Bannister WORCESTER gave me his name as John Bannister then added Mark Bannister.
Marsina is pronounced mer' se nay. Marsina's name is correct in the 1914 "The Descemdants of Reverend William Worcester With A Brief Mention OF THE Connecticut Wooster Family" by SArah Alice Worcester. In the same entry, his wife's name was incorrectly transcribed as ELizabeth Cone. Marsina married Elizabeth Adeline CRIM.
The United States Census index transcribed his name incorrectly as: Marnaua,1840; Monna,1850 and Mannie B 1850. Charles Wesley WORCESTER was my great grand-father.I'm interested in the pictures.

I have a Charles Wesley Worcester, Son of Marsina Bannister Worcester b 1809 Windsor, VT and Elizabeth Adaline Crim b May 23, 1824 in Henry, GA in my family. My g grandmother is Martha Worcester b. July 18, 1841, married Ishom B Christal (2) George Ross. She died July 1883 in Montague county Texas. This is a sister to Charles Worcester.
I have a family picture of Charles and his family with Martha, my grandfather, John Christal, and GG Grandmother Elizabeth Worcester. Happy to share if you think we are connected. I show that there were 6 children.

That is all so very interesting. I will check the other site out. Thank You. My line goes to Thomas Jefferson Worster, b. 1818 in So. Berwick, ME. I can't find the name of his parents. He had a half bro., Storer Nason b. 1812 also So. Berwick ME. It is possible his father was Edward. I am assuming his mother married a Worster to than become mother to my Thomas Jeff.This is all hand down by word no proof but I did find a death record on Nason showing father Edward but of course no mother name. Thanks again.

I found the worcesterfamily site last year. It appeared to be a reprint of Fox's descendents and followed my line. It seems to have changed since then. Replacing Wm. with Joseph. I obtained my source for Rev. Wm.'s father from the LDS library in the 70's. It follows the theory of Gustav Anjoe 1345 - 1625 - LDS Book. For more confusion, visit

It is Edward's line, but mentions Rev. Wm. and the Worcester's in England. It also has Edward as the father of Rev. Wm.
