In the name of God Amen I John Wright of said county being weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz first I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy the control of the farm I now live on that is the open land and houses and household furniture also three head of horses to work said farm and four head of cows and calves and half the sheep and hogs and farming utensils Also half the geese as long as she continues to be my widow. And also she is bound to support the children as long as they are under her control and also to give them a common education and after the widow takes her part that is a childs part or the third of the land the balance to be divided between Preston and Westley Wright viz my two youngest sons the north end to Westley and the south to Preston and on condition the widow takes a third part at her death her part of the land to be divided between the above named Preston and Westley. And also I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth one cow Also by daughter Rebeckah I give and bequeath one cow And Also my son Harrison I give and bequeath one sorrell mare which he now claims And also my son Jackson I give and bequeath one dark bay horse colt And Also my daughter Hester Ann I give and bequeath one colt come of the Roan mare this spring Also one bed and furniture Also one saddle to the nature of twenty dollars And also I wish at the death of the widow all the personal property to be put up at public sale at twelve months credit and the proceeds divided equally between Rebeckah and Harrison Jackson and Hester Ann the above named heirs. And also I wish the half of the personal property viz the part not willed to the widow to be put up to public sale at my death at twelve months credit and the proceeds equally divided Rebeckah Harrison Jackson and Hester Ann I also in consequence of giving my sons Preston and Westley the land I bind Preston to pay Harrison his brother one hundred and twenty five dollars payable in two years after he comes of age And also I bind Westley to pay his brother Jackson one hundred and twenty five dollars within two years after said Westley comes of age. I also give and bequeath unto my first wifes children viz Peter William Nancy Jane Thomas James John and Hezekiah H. one dollar each to be paid out of the proceeds of the first sale. I also appoint William Crow as Administrator and my wife Nancy Wright Administratix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness who of I have here witnessed my hand and seal this tenth day of June in the year of our lord Eighteen hundred and thirty two. Be it remembered on this 5th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six William Crow made oath before me Carter T Wood Clerk of the County Court within and for the County of Crawford that the within will is the last Will and Testament of John Wright deceased and that he believes that he the said Testator John Wright was of sound and disposing mind and that he the said William Crow subscribed his name to the said will in the presence of the said testator at his request
Sworn to before me the undersigned Carter T Wood Clerk of the County Court within and for the County aforesaid the day above written Carter T Wood Clerk
In the November Term of Crawford County probate court Joseph Collins was appointed administrator of Nancy Wrights estate.
Final settlement of both John and Nancy Wright's estate was made in the May term of 1843 in Crawford county.
