I have a William Newton Wright in my family tree. He is listed on the 1850 census, Jackson County, Alabama. He was 19, married to Mary E Jones. Son of William N Wright and Clarase Wright. Born July 2, 1830 Died September 11, 1909, Buried at family cemetary west of Selfs, Fannin County, Tx. He had 2 other wives, I don't know their names. Served in the Confederate Army. William and Mary had the following children. Rebecca born January 11, 1851, Jasper born 11-22-1852, Philip H. I am also looking for Wright's from Arkansas-I had an uncle Henry Wright and my grandfather was Ben Henry Wright.I have hit a brick wall at that point.

Wondered if you have a date for John Wright who was married to Sarah Barr? or maybe who his parents were?

Sorry I sure don't.

All I have is John Wright is from SC and Sarah Barr is from Ky.

I am working on Hezekiah's wife Martha J Stares which is part of my STAIRES line. Martha isn't a direct line of mind, but the sister, so I was following down lines and filled in his parents.

HB Wright moved to Greene Co., Ar somewhere between 1840-1850 so his parents may have gone with him, (Martha's whole family moved, parents and brothers)

There appears to be a whole group of families that moved over to Greene Co., Ar about the same time. Look at the church records, just a hint.

I have 1 Wright child not identified in one of my Wright families. All children b 1815-1942. Most in Ala then moving to Boone County Ark. Their father is Richard Wright b 1817, Va. Mother is Priss ?, b Tenn.? Nine children in the family. Can't identify Richard Wright's parents? Is the Wright cemetery you mentioned on line?

Go to GREENE CO., ARK and look for the Cemetery Page. They have done a great job. All the names are indexed and will tell you which Cemetery they are buried in. Then go to the Cemetery and check the dates.

Newton Wright, there is two of them is in my tree. My mother was a daughter of Robert Don Wright. There is a great number of Wrights near Paris, Logan county, Arkansas. There is a Wright cementary there. Can you go to the Clements/Phillips Tree in ancesty.com?

The two Wrights with names of Newton are relatives of my grandfather, Robert Don Wright. My mother was Hilda Garle Wright, her sister was Stella Mae and brothers, Ralph, Edward Don, and two brothers died young they were Robert and Johnny Wright. The Wrights grew up around Paris, Logan County, Arkansas. There is a Wright Cemetary near Paris. Go to my tree for more info., It is Clements/Phillips Tree.
