Hi, I am a Lexington, Mo. Hicklin, descended from Tenn. Hicklins in the early 1800's. My father was J.R. Hicklin of Lexington ,Mo. and his mother was Alma and father was John R. as well as Dads grandfather was Young Hicklin who was banished from Mo. by union troops during the civil war and went to Uvaldi Texas and became a Texas ranger until James Hicklins (his father) died in the early 1890's and he returned to the home place in Lexington in the early 1890's.
