LOOKING FOR ANY INFORMATION RELATING TO THE DUNDEE AND ANGUS-SHIRE FAMILIES OF THE BUTTER CLAN. THIS INCLUDES THE TEN OR ELEVEN YOUNGER SIBLINGS (10) OF THE ELDEST SON, WILLIAM MITCHELL BUTTER (LATER CALLED BUTTARS, POST WWI) AND THEIR ANCESTORS.

WILLIAM BORN: 10 JULY 1889 AT OLD BALKELLO FARM, TEALING, FORFARSHIRE. FATHER: JAMES DUNDAS BUTTER, MOTHER: JANE McWALTER ROBB.

THE YOUNGEST SURVIVING BUTTER SIBLING WAS KNOWN AS FRANK BUTTERS, BORN APPROXIMATELY 1911, FRANK JOINED THE REGULAR ARMY AT AGE 17, POSSIBLY THE SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS SERVING IN THE MIDDLE EAST, THE FAR EAST AND WAS REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN A P.O.W. ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASSION IN GERMANY DURING WW2.

WILLIAM MARRIED: MARGARET BROUGH 1915 IN CRIEFF, PERTHSHIRE. MARGARET BORN: 13 MAY 1889 AT 139 KING STREET CRIEFF.
