I would love more info relating to the Carlberg's. All we have from my husband's side for info is that his father was Richard LeRoy Carlberg born 17 Apr 1931 and his parents were Roy Carlberg and Gertrude Josephine Hoefling. I am assuming they would have been born somewhere in the neighborhood of the late 1880-1890's. If you have anything relating to this info let us know. Or if you happen to know of any family member who may have put a genealogy book together.

In response to the posting of Carl Carlberg who came from Sweden, changed his name to Carlson and then moved back, my grandfather is Adar Carlberg and great-grandfather Andrew Carlberg. Andrew immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. for a few years, moved back to Sweden for a while before finally moving back to MN to finish out his life. He was born in Sweden June 14, 1888 (Andrew). My grandfather Adar was born in Mn in 1917. Any info on related Carlbergs, please contact me.

My Carl Johan Carlberg came to America with his brothers. There name originally was Carlsson. It was simplified later to Carlson
And I am not sure when they changed it but it was changed to Carlberg. It is told that
Carl left America and went back to Sweden.
I do not know what last name he had in Sweden. This what I know about him.

William, I'm looking for information on my g grandmother's family. Her name is Margareth Gayan. She was born in Austria in the 1860's. Her husband was Florian Fischer. Margareth had two sisters and two brothers; Ida Gayan McGlone, Anna Gayan, John and Anthony Gayan. They came to the US around 1900 to 1904, via Ellis Island, and moved to Baltimore, Maryland. Does any of this sound familiar? If it does, e-mail me. Thanks!
