I am looking for information on a Henrietta Dahlman who married August Stern. They are the parents of my ggrandfather Ferdinand Gottlieb Stern who emigrated to Minnesota from Wurow settling in a German settlement near Dexter, Minnnesota. Ferdinand was born in 1854, and had a brother named John. I'd really like to share information with someone looking for Dahlmans from Germany.

Renee: Fantastic. Thanks for your response. I am a novice researcher, only working on genealogy for a year. I only know enough to be dangerous. I found Henrietta's name on Fredinand Stern's death certificate (his obituary also mentions her) at the Mower County courthouse in Austin, Minnesota. I have a lot of information about Ferdinand, his naturalization papers, pictures of the family farm in Minnesota, family pictures, his obituary, and detailed information on his branch of the family, I would be happy to share what I have if you are interested. I have no other information on Henrietta, or any of the Dallman family, outside of a gedcom file I found with a Henrietta Dallman mentioned. I would love to know more about Henrietta and her sister, if they stayed in Germany or came to the US with some of their family, etc. I look forward to hearing from you.-Diane

Classification: Query
I too am a descendant of this cple. My mother was a Stern, her grandfather was John (Gottlieb, Ferdinand). Her father was Harry. I know nothing of the Dallmann side or who her parents were. I would really appreciate any info you would want to share. I in turn have some info on that family. I live in the same area as John did and in fact attended a funeral yesterday(not related person, but the family were close to the John Stern family -yes they go way back!-)and coincidentally John helped build the church it was held in. I am writing a book on the family stories for the Stern family, not so much the tree, but the personal side of the family.I am an artist too so am putting in pen and ink drawings and watercolors. Please share, Wendy
