Trying to find info on my mother's father. His name was
JOHN M. FARK or FORK. All I know about him is that he was from Sullivan, Ind.
was born 1882/83 in Sullivan, Ind. He worked on the railroad.
Married my grandmother IDA CULLIN in Evansville,Ind.
On my mothers Birth Record it list him as being deceased. My mother RUBY HELEN was born Dec. 18,1907.
The Ind. Birth Certificate office, says they can't give me his Records unless I can give them HIS mothers maiden name. Therefore
I am stuck. If any one could help with this, I would be most thankful.

I don't know of any Fark's who settled in Sullivan, but I do have information on the ones who were in Warrick & Pike Counties in IN. Many lived near Selvin, IN. Some families moved to Evansville & other areas for work, so maybe one did move to Sullivan.
There is a John M. Fark in my records. He was the son of William Henry Fark & Agnes E. Wood. He was listed in the 1900 census of Warrick Co. as being born Aug 1881. I don't have any other information on him as far as what happened to him. I don't know if this is your grandfather, but I could do some checking.

The Fark you have is my FARK.I have since found out that he did live in Warrick and his parents names were William Henry Fark and Agnes Woods.I have that when my mother was born,it list on her birth record that he was deceased. I found out later that I don't think they were married at all.I would appreciate any thing you might have on him, maybe a picture or anything.
