Searching for information about FRIZELLS in Mississippi before the Civil War. I am particularly interested in information regarding the ancestors of James Elliott Frizell, who was, I believe born in England.

I have a lot of information to share regarding downline for James Elliott Frizell. Have no upline information as yet. Please let me hear from you. James Elliott Frizell was my great great grandfather through his son Dr. William Henry Frizell (a Civil War Hero),then through his son James Vardaman Frizell (who moved from Mississippi to Texas), through his son J. V. Frizell, Jr. (My father, who died 3/1/00, at the age of 98 years and 7 months).

Have you had any luck finding James E. Frizell? I don't have anything definitive, but if I find anything, I'll let you know.
I believe the descendants of Gale Frizzell wnt to Mississippi-but they all use two z's in their name, although we all descend from the same folks in Maryland-
You should check out the Frizzell page-the spellings do not matter
