My Great Grandfather was born in Ludzimierz, Poland on 9-28-1886 and came to the United States in 1905 in Baltimore and Port of NY. He married Katherine Zak 1910 and died 1938.

My great grandfather is Joseph Radecki - a blacksmith. But he settled in Chicago.

My maiden name was Radecki. A Peter Radecki settled in Buffalo, NY about 1890-1900. His grandson was Joseph Radecki, born 1915. Want to correspond? joan

My Grandfarthers name, who passed away
March 2000, was Joseph. I don't know
where he grew up, but I know he
lived in Brooklyn in his mid age.

thanks for your reply. Do you know if your grandfather might have had a brother named Peter?
My ancestors lived in the Buffalo,NY area. However, my dad's step-brother's name was Joseph.
Want to correspondent and we could trade off information. Maybe there's a connection since, Radecki's usually came from Germany/Poland (Poland was off the face of the eath for 132 yrs.)

I am married to a Joseph Radecki from Chicago.........his father and his grandfather were both named Joseph. I'm dying to know if any of them are the Joseph you mentioned.

My Grandfather Jacob Radecki was born in Posen Germany now Poznan, Poland. He was killed in Baltimore, Maryland in August 1930. I know he had a brother somewhere in Chicago or Cleveland Ohio. I met him when I was about 10 years old and you do not remember details.
I beleive his name was Joseph Radecki

My great grandfather's name was Joseph Radecki. His FInal Naturalization Oath is dated March 27, 1894, so he could have arrived in the USA in 1889. His papers say he was a Native of Germany, which of course at that time occupied teh wetern third of Poland including Poznan. He was naturalized in Cook County, Illinois. He lived in Chicago. He died September 10, 1911. His death certificate lists NOvember 22, 1860 as his birthdate. HIs wife's name was Maryanna Fas or Fans. They had several children. Her death certificate lists her birth as July 6, 1873 and death Sept 7 1935
