Professions on the 1901 Census

Can anyone help me? I am trying to find out exactly what a couple of professions are. These are professions I found on the 1901 Irish census.

According to the census, my great-grandfather worked as a "Crisper of Cottons" and his brother worked as a "Cotton Butler". I would love to find out what these jobs were.

There's a web site that list a lot of old professions http://rmhh.co.uk/occup/index.html

Not sure about a crisper of cottons, but I'm pretty sure the second one is cotton beetler. It's often transcribed as butler in error. The beetler runs a machine that embosses textile. I have several of them in my family as well.

Thanks for the link!

I took another look at the census image and I am pretty sure you are right and it is beetler rather than butler.
